The Nintendo DS Video Game Master Set is a set of DS hardware and software as defined above. It is a creation of Mario_Friend1982; any and all changes/updates must be approved and made by Mario_Friend1982. I'm guilty of being cheeky about it in the past, but that's the complete definition.

Would you say one loop through all 6 cities is sufficient, or should it be to get through that 4th loop? I know some stuff changes after the first loop (you stop getting the powerup that clears an entire color from the board, clearing a color doesn't stop it from appearing anymore) maybe it's not a proper loop until then?

Ok, this is good info. I guess "loops after 6-4" is a bad way to say that there are 6 cities and 4 levels per city, when the levels are delineated in-game with a city name, loop number? and round number. But I've always wondered if there's an ending after enough loops, and it sounds like it doesn't end or go above 4. Nice job!

I remember this NP "contest." You could enter the raffle as long as you completed 3 laps of Mario Raceway in under a minute thirty. I had a Polaroid just like that one but I didn't win the drawing. A friend of mine mastered the trick where you jump the wall in the middle using a mushroom, and his total time was under a minute. He was mad that he didn't win, but it was never about getting the best time. Bad news is there doesn't seem to be any stickers or anything to identify the controller as unique from the gold controllers you can find on eBay for 30-40 bucks, aside from the story. It's like an NFR cart with a ripped sticker on the back. I'm sure the story isn't fake but it could be faked easily. So I personally wouldn't pay more for this than one of those 100th-issue gold controllers with the sticker, even though this is more special/rare. Someone might though. You asked for someone who's well-versed and I'm not lol. Do you know the name of the contest winner and was it maybe published in an issue of NP?

I don't always vote in these but I guess I do try to match the description. I hadn't really thought about it actually! I do like that they encourage people not to give 10s to everything they like, and 0s to well-liked stuff that they hate. It should be a big deal for a song to get even one 10 or 0.
