New rule this game: commands will only take effect after getting LIKE reactions by 2 other players. This will help avoid hasty decisions or joke posts from causing trouble. G-type has been replaced by a text parser and can only understand simple commands. Special commands include: Help, Inventory, Score. (there are no save games this time) Directions: Go, exit, leave, enter, east, west, north, south, up, down (dependent on available options) Sensory: Look, examine, search, take, drop. Interaction: (context dependent) It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Jolly Old St. Nick is in a bit of a jam. Explore the North Pole, make some new friends, and help Santa Claus find his lost Naughty & Nice list. North Pole You’re standing outside a picturesque village in the midst of a snowy field. In the distance is a large, red-and-white striped pole. There is a signpost here. Despite the falling snow, you don’t feel cold at all! Exits are: > EAST > WEST > SOUTH > SOUTHEAST Outside Santa's House You’re outside Santa’s House! You hear quite a ruckus from inside. There’s a barn to the west. Exits are: > NORTH > WEST Santa's Old Barn You’re in an old barn where Santa keeps his magical sleigh. You see reindeer grazing to the south. Santa’s House is east of here. exits are: > SOUTH > EAST Inside Santa’s House Mrs. Santa Claus is here, sitting by a cozy fire and sipping from a cup of hot cocoa. A side door leads out to the barn and the front door leads out of the house. INSIDE SANTA'S HOUSE Exits are: > OUT (to Outside Santa’s House) > WEST Reindeer Paddock This fenced-in pasture is where Santa keeps his reindeer. There is a bucket of carrots here hanging from a fencepost. To the east you see Candy Cane Forest. REINDEER PADDOCK exits are: > NORTH > EAST Candy Cane Forest You are in a forest of ginormous candy canes. CANDY CANE FOREST exits are: > NORTH (to North Pole) > SOUTH/EAST (to Ice Cream Desert) > WEST (to Paddock) Ice Cream Desert You’re in a desert made of dessert: vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, to be exact. It’s quite deserted. The Gumdrop Sea stretches out to the south and east. ICE CREAM DESERT exits are: > NORTH or WEST (to Candy Cane Forest) > SOUTH or EAST (to Gumdrop Sea) Santa's Workshop The workshop is usually bustling with activity, but only one worker remains: a tiny elf sitting at a long table. There are many gifts here, as well as a coal bin. SANTA'S WORKSHOP Exits are: > OUT (to North Pole) Cookie Factory This is where all of the North Pole’s gingerbread cookies are made. Any gingerbread people without a home at the end of the holidays are taken to Pitchfork Farms where they can spend their lives frolicking in the fields. You see a knocked-over crate of gingerbread cookies here. There is a piping bag here. COOKIE FACTORY EXITS are: > OUT (to North Pole) Gumdrop Sea You are sailing on a sea of twirly, swirly gumdrops. You see a polar bear floating on an ice floe. A jagged peak rises up from the fog-shrouded island to the east. GUMDROP SEA exits are: > EAST > NORTH or WEST (to ICE CREAM DESERT) Sugarplum Isle You’re on the shore of Sugarplum Isle. In the center of the island is a tall, snow-covered mountain. Your sailboat is here. SUGARPLUM ISLE exits are: > UP > WEST (to Gumdrop Sea) Yeti Mountain You’re on Yeti Mountain. The Yeti is here, stacking snowballs on top of one another. I had been refreshing the thread fairly often, waiting for an update, but we really need to pick up the pace. I got busy this afternoon, so that's on me.
