Doom, Doom II, then a hop back adding E4 with 'Ultimate Doom' as it got re-titled... and now  you have this unofficial Sigil 5th episode, but it's a real stand out, doesn't work or flow naturally from episode to the next like the other four.

In a way Sigil is meant as a test of skill, taking all you learned, mastered even, from the old episodes and cranks it up a notch, or at least Romero felt as much.  It's like SMB2j is to SMB1, it ratchets things up a lot where some will take it, plenty more would probably just leave it.

Doom was awesome. As a child it was one of those games that I always wanted to own but my computer wasn’t powerful enough to run it. The first time I played it was as an adult and loved it. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

As for the 2016 version. It is a 6 out of 10 for me. I occasionally enjoy playing it but not one of my favorites.
