There are no deals like this local to me, at least not ever since I found one of my very first hauls (the Retro Gamer Magazine collection I got for $50). And I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth here, this was an excellent deal for what I paid, but the seller, bless his heart, shipped everything in a large box with the magazines STANDING VERTICALLY. I was floored... like I would think anyone would default to mailing magazines by laying them flat on top of each other. If there's multiple stacks side by side then so be it. That's usually good enough for magazines that aren't mint condition, as long as you provided a bit of padding around them to fill the space. But vertical? I never would have thought someone would do that. And this was a very heavy box, over the legal limit for one person to hand carry, so you know it took some abuse. I think some of the magazines got a bit damaged along the journey but surprisingly most of them seem like they are in the same shape as before they were mailed. Go figure. 1
MiamiSlice | 3,095
A double-haul: Made an offer on this n3DSXL bundle, which I really wanted for the Curtain Call soundtrack bundle and Cradle of Egypt 2, since I already have all the other games and don't actually need another 3DS. Paid about $169 with shipping and tax. Unfortunately the 3DS is missing the original cardboard tray! This is the second time I buy a 3DS or 2DS and it comes with everything but the tray. What are people doing? Why throw that away??? Anyway I will still make good use of this, will probably CFW it too so I can finally play the Katamari Damacy puzzle game that was exclusive to the DSiWare service in Japan. Right after buying this, the seller reaches out to me about another of his listings: Normally I would not respond well to stuff like this, but I decided to take a look and you know what? All this for about $184 with tax and shipping? For real? OK, fine, my arm was twisted. I'm not like crazy for Final Fantasy, haven't ever even played any of the games, but I really do have a hard time thinking of letting these go! I will give up FF Tactics Advance since I already have that one Edited March 18, 2021 by MiamiSlice

I don't like to post like this normally, but if you don't intend to keep the other 3DS games can we talk? You've got up to 4 there, at minimum 1-2 I'd like to talk about if you're dumping them anyway since you just wanted Cradle of Egypt and CC. (SE really did a great job on that music game.) I forgot that N3DSXL came with the tray, before hand they sold them as an option as I had that. Right now I'm trying to still source the blue stylus for the mostly black(blue trim) 2DS. Hate each of the units seem to use a different shape/length.

I'm talking about the cardboard tray that holds the console inside the box. This box just doesn't have it. Second time this happens to me. When I got it in the mail I could hear the console rattling around in there and I was like "not again!" And I know what you mean with the styluses. If you get too frustrated and decide to give up you can source an original replacement here: https://store.nintendo.com/stylus-nintendo-2ds.html but they don't have the color you need!
Tanooki | 4,933
Yeah I missed that was thinking of the tray to charge. I can see how the other would be obnoxious. I got that replacement ds lite earlier this year and it had every scrap but that tray too. I guess people just rip them easily. I’ll keep an eye out for your message. I usually am on off site every two to three days unless I have a reason. the stylus issue sucks and I did know of that. I’m on the fence of value to replace vs sell due to wasted effort. Seems the bare unit with memory card had no lost value vs buying the charger and stylus. If it costs me 15 to replace and I get only 15 more it’s like why bother. MiamiSlice | 3,095
$10 local pickup. They are used and might be missing pieces but will be fun to build with my kids anyway.
MiamiSlice | 3,095
Got all this for $53 shipped! Nothing special and sadly most are missing manuals but Carnival Games is a later -B1 disc variant which I’ve actually never seen before! I have a bunch of -B0 variants but AFAIK this is my first -B1. Here’s a comparison with my original copy: And close up of the code:

MiamiSlice | 3,095
Won this auction on eBay for less than I expected to pay!!! Been hunting the Aleksey pair for over a year now and very happy to finally get Kirby’s Block Ball too! Everything is complete (update: see follow-up post below) in great shape, looks like it all came from one owner. Someone with good taste! Also this was shipped to me with NO PADDING but amazingly everything held up! Edited March 18, 2021 by MiamiSlice 3
MiamiSlice | 3,095
Update: looks like I spoke too soon! Turns out the only box that has the manual is High Stakes Gambling. The rest all have their other inserts (posters, reg cards, etc) but NO MANUALS. And Pinball Fantasies has nothing. At least they all have trays! But the manuals must have been separated at some point and never made their way back. This is gonna be annoying... gonna have a bunch to track down! Tanooki | 4,933
Nice job there, and you know I just realized something in that image, you got the OTHER pinball game on the system from the classic Amiga/DOS duo from DICE 'Pinball Fantasies' and I've got an immaculate Dreams here complete. Are you collecting complete games or however you can get them?

I'm being stubborn with this haul because the condition is so good and all the other inserts are present but normally I'd let go of incomplete stuff. Much easier to just wait for something complete to come along. I'm gonna try and see if I can land some of the manuals I'm missing in trades... there's a Facebook group for "video game pieces" where people trade various packaging like this that might be able to help me out... but sooner or later I'm going to end up giving up some of these. You thinking of letting go of that Pinball Dreams? I don't have that one
MiamiSlice | 3,095
Made a deal with a guy on Reddit to get this lot for $375! Was going to be $400 but then he told me that a couple carts and one manual were nowhere to be found so I talked him down to $375. The condition here is shockingly good, some of the boxes don't even have creases on the flaps! Even the games I already have, the ones in this haul are in better condition than what I have. Also I guess the seller threw this in too: No idea if it works, it's pretty rickety. Will have to see. I am very very happy to be picking up Sonic Advance 2 in this lot, I had that one cart only for years. Also was needing to get Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and I think I didn't have Mario Tennis Power Tour already. Lastly, this Dragon's Lair is a nice looking one (never even realized it was ported to GBC) and DBZ Supersonic Warriors has foil accents on the box! Oh, also, if anyone has a loose cart for Bomerman Tournament or a manual for Monster Rancher Battle Card, please let me know! MiamiSlice | 3,095
Amazon had a lightning deal on this Zelda themed messenger bag for the Switch, was ~$17. It’s big. As wide as my chair. 1
MiamiSlice | 3,095
Managed to get the Zelda and Super Mario Maker edition 2DS's in the short period that they were restocked on the Nintendo store! Also nabbed a refurbished NES Classic Edition (I already have one but it's the retail one and it's still sealed... wanted to keep that as a backup). It seems silly to think that getting things for MSRP is a "steal" but when these are hard to find now and go for more on the bay... well, good enough? MiamiSlice | 3,095
Got a pile of strategy guides in good shape for $155 shipped: Everything was well taken care of, almost all are Nintendo Power, and the Pokemon guide has all 150 stickers untouched! The real surprise here are the Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine guides, those have shot up in price since 3D All Stars came out. Also my brother found my old Next Generation magazines and some of his old NP’s and some other stuff: Finally, someone in a Facebook group alerted me to a junk lot of DS games from Canada that happened to have a gem in the mix: I didn’t even know before this month that there was a Zenses Zen Garden. I always thought the series just had Rainforest and Ocean. There’s some other games in this lot I like, such as The Price is Right and Broken Sword. Condition is not great but I will clean up what I can and let go of the rest.
MiamiSlice | 3,095
I traded a sealed Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse for all this: this is kind of a loser weeper because I was trying to flip a sealed one and buy a CIB to make a little money on the difference and my timing turned out to be very bad because the price dropped right when I bought the CIB. But this trade was an over trade in my favor so I can sell the dupes and the BotW CE and make back a good amount!

Sometimes I think Switch collectors have no regard for money. I think you cleaned house with that trade honestly. I can't see the shantea madness staying the way it is forever. The BOTW CE has no where to go but up imo. Great trade.

The BOTW CE has no where to go but up imo. Great trade. It's Shantae man. It's the Cinderella of indie games. The ultimate waifu. Simp energy at max. If I didn't get lucky finding it in a blind box I would have probably paid up for it too. I'm already regretting not buying the Pirate's Curse CE when it was cheaper. It's gonna be the one standard edition in a set that's all CE's otherwise. LMAO. But yeah Switch collectors are nuts. Just throwing money in every direction. It's sold out? Gotta buy it now no hesitation whatever the asking price is. And I'm on the fence about this Zelda CE it's just MASSIVE I have nowhere to put it. I was so excited to get it because it's a really impressive piece, like they actually rolled a poster and fit it without having to fold it, plus there's a full size Switch carrying case in there, it's insane. Maybe I'll take my time deciding what to do.
