“At some point you’re gonna have to choose between the job and your cat because my allergies are way too bad to have cat hair around,” said the manager.

Inevitably, he was asked to choose between Harvey and the job. So he chose Harvey because they’re a packaged deal.

Any "manager" or whatever that would even hint at making you choose between your pet or a job is a total piece of shite! And of course who wouldn't pick their beautiful kitty 🐈

Devils advocate, there are some danders I am so severely allergic to I will go into anaphylaxis just being within specific cat hairs after about 20 minutes. One time I needed to leave a job to go buy Claritin so I would stop dying from allergen exposure due to a new coworker that was wearing a sweater his cat napped on. I remember the conversation well.

Me *has difficulty breathing and eyes begin to swell out of nowhere*

"Hey Tyler, do you have an orange cat?"

"...yes. How did you know that?"

"Cause I'm extremely allergic to it"

He was sure to wear clean clothes. It was obvious to everyone I was having a severe reaction.

Granted the manager should have handled it differently, but there's two sides to every story. You think the manager never dealt with a cat owner before? Anaphylaxis comes on fast and hard. I bet the manager was having a severe reaction too.

So THAT'S what that Claritin I saw on TV does!  I was always curious about that...I mean were they forbidden by law to say exactly what the drug does or something?

I completely agree, we certainly need to take everything into account. However, I still can't imagine someone saying "okay, you need to get rid of the cat if you plan to stay and work here" -- which is exactly what the manager said! That's absolutely ridiculous. Also, I don't know the specifics, but you would think the manager could steer clear of the guy with cat hair, and get a high-quality purifier (I know people who have done that for work, it's not thousands of dollars), etc. There are alternatives to that ridiculous ultimatum.

Coco survived unharmed - his mom grounded (as it were) him  - which he was not happy with.  I suspect the rescuer goes up and down poles all the time.

I know cats allegedly land on their feet but to paraphrase a famous Jewish carpenter (who actually worked with stone, not wood as there's hardly any trees in the Israeli area), thou shalt NEVER put the cat's landing on their feet to the test!  Even in what may very well be the first ever cat video, the cat is dropped from only 5-6 feet and there's plenty of cushioning to land on.

Young bobcats are really cute - also really vicious.  He probably had a medical problem  and was treated for it.  Then they sprung him.

Apparently he was eating some local chickens! They moved him away from where he would cause mischief, which is much better for him -- and his name, dubbed by the wildlife specialist, is "Mr. Murderbritches" 😁

The key word is young.  What makes cats so amazing is that they're still just as cute and do all the cute things even as adults!  As opposed to some of that other species who doesn't stay cute little puppies for very long and then quickly become giant slobbering monsters!!
