Well thank cheesus I finished the Terminator. I was getting so frustrated with it earlier trying to relearn it. Its nice it has a level select feature so I could practice the stupid jump in the 2nd to last level. Ugh! I love how awful it is though.

Ive been relearning Terminator. I have it down but just need to do it. Forgot how much time is wasted just farming points for lives....

Finally finished Gargoyles Quest II. It was much harder than I remembered it being.

You need to show the board and admit it, you never went to Castleton.

Polished off Bionic Commando, one of my favorites and favorite endings / ending music of all time! I have some others but they take a bit longer or I don't remember them that well so that's good for right now.

Again Mr. $hiface enters Vegas Dream with $700, and with constant betting on red/black and writing down the password after he hits, exits with $12 Mil+. Tedious, but the quickest way to win.

Also finished Return of the Joker. Great music, incredible graphics, but the actual design is so weird. I guess because the sprites are so large, they couldn't make a lot of enemies, so to make them harder, they have them fire immediately when you see them? But the game is rendered easy because of passwords and infinite continues. Esp if you know how to cheese some of the bosses. Esp the Joker at the end haha

Finished Cliffhanger. Had to remember how to run and some of the little weird things in it but it didn't take long to take down this miserable game haha

Polished off Dick Tracy again. This game gets such a bad rap.

Ok I lied haha. I finished (and deathless!) Zombie Nation. I did it cuz it was quick and so @Gloves didn't steal it from me :).

Ok took down another quick one, A Boy and his Blob using the ol Ketchup trick! I think I'm done for now. Maybe a few hrs from now or tomorrow I'll re-do Dick Tracy and Bionic Commando.

I beat Barbie. Yeah.

haha damn it you beat me to it! I was looking at the master list that hadn't been updated yet. Dang it!

And the king of Knight Rider is back! Having a good run with these games but time for a break. Ill take care of a few more tonight.

Finished Last Action Hero lol. I love how crummy and short it is. It also suffers from the same enemy AI as Karate Kid, so if you have 2 enemies behind you, let them follow you and no enemies will spawn in front of you.

Yay! I finally was able to beat my favorite NES game of all time Maniac Mansion for one of these haha. Its so short it took me no time :). Already got a little list of quick ones that are quirky i'll work on.

yay! Got the good ending for Die Hard. Lets see whats next.

Its been a while since I've played my NES stuff. I usually beat Die Hard/Power Blade on Xmas eve and on NYE I beat New Ghostbusters II and Dick Tracy. So maybe i'll dip my toe in today as I kinda feel like I wanna play some of my Nintender tapes.

Oh yeah Cool World and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, those are rotten, how could I forget! IIRC with Roger Rabbit, theres something stupid about the game like getting the dynamite which is almost impossible because its a random spawn in the shop? I remember having a lot of difficulty with that because of something the game was doing.

The damn GB Home Alone is better because its a port of the SNES version! GOD I HATE THAT GAME. I do want to say that other infamously bad games: Friday the 13th, Last Action Hero, Cliffhanger, Terminator, Nightmare on Elm St, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Swamp Thing (does that count?) Jaws, Waynes World, Indiana Jones Last Crusade (Ubisoft) I actually REALLY like haha, but I can understand why people wouldn't. Other games that are pretty decent but get overlooked: Batman Returns, Lethal Weapon, Star Trek and the Star Wars games people never talk about. For other absolutely dreadful ones, I should also throw in Bram Stokers Dracula and Ghostbusters OH!! I just forgot a GREAT one because its a PAL exclusive, NEW GHOSTBUSTERS 2!

Best: Batman on NES, as well as Die Hard. Its SUPER accurate to the movie. Dick Tracy did a great job with the sprites for the goons in the game too. Ive heard Willow was really good too. Worst: HOME ALONE I HATE YOU SO MUCH. Darkman because Oceans controls are just AWFUL. Hook looks really bad too, graphically. Like it was made 5 years before it came out.

I was gonna go with this. You could only fit so much on the cart at the time, so value was replayability. The only way for that was to really force the player to memorize large portions of the game. I feel the balance of that memorization to skill though was unbalanced. Something like Mega Man needs some memorization but you can really rely on skill. Something like Battletoads never struck me as skill-hard, like a SHMUP, but more about how much you have to where the enemies are, which come next, what powerups to use/save to make other later parts of the game easier etc. That to me isn't so much, fun.

Ive played thru TNT and Plutonia but felt they were pretty bland. I barely can remember any maps except for the one with all the archviles in it. Doom 64 is great and Nighttime did a FANTASTIC port of it. Now that the visibility is better as WELL as porting it to a console with a better control scheme, it was a BLAST to play and really shows off how great they did with it.

Ive been trying to pistol start it with no saves, and trying to learn the map. Im at E6M6, which I have beaten but I'm going back to find the right path. E6M1 may be the hardest official doom level of all time haha.

John Romero made it in the spirit of DooM 1. So nothing from DooM 2 was used, monsters or guns, or textures. Altho I think the secret level uses a few 'new' textures. The only improvement is the newer source ports are limit removing so you can add as much stuff as you want, as the original DooM constricted it, as to not tax lower end computers. Its great but its REALLY hard!!
