Guardic gaiden is such a cool piece. I’m not so interested in the guide book but the poster/map I’d love to have. Unfortunately it’s so rare. You can find them on eBay but every one I’ve seen has turned out to be a scam after questioning the seller for more info.

Adopting rule sets to keep runs in the 10-15 minute range was a good idea for simple games like donkey Kong, excitebike and other games with similar gameplay but it takes away from the experience and competition of other games like guardian legend. Some games you have to run the whole thing.

Headed to Beckett. Off center and yellow but a childhood card. Hoping for 7 dreading a 5. Wish me luck.

it is funny looking at it that way. And I’m not offend (I have no feelings) just curious why it was funny. You’re right I based the 8 off comparing it to smb3 (10) and ninja gaiden/shatterhand (9). I didn’t have the rest of the library in mind. I’m laughing to myself right now understanding that I would probably rate adventure island a 9 but still rank it lower than Batman.

I actually feel like the game has become a bit overrated in recent years. I had this game as a kid and always enjoyed it. But now it’s like everyone is all of a sudden saying how great it is to the point of putting it above true greats. @Sumez I think the experience would suffer if the game were longer. It nails the vibe in stage one. The cave is garbage. The wall jumping in the electric shock stage is its peak enjoyment, where the gameplay shines brightest and the experience is tapped. The final stage and joker are fun because of the challenge. Adding more stages would just water down the experience because there’s nothing more to the game to warrant more.

I don’t understand what the issue is here.

Batman is a great game……but 1. SMB3 2. Ninja Gaiden 3. Shatterhand 4. Batman 5. Adventure Island Honor mention VPD id also like to say power blade is overrated. That game is almost not good. then you got power blade 2….. yuk.
