I thought about getting mine graded ,I am holding off a bit longer on doing it ..

WATA has graded at least 8 Grey NWCs ,and Dennis the owner of WATA told me they have even graded 2 Gold Carts to date ..I thought about getting mine graded , but I am holding off for a while ..

The coin I posted above is worth upwards of $20K in that condition,which is mint ..Examples of this coin often have a poor strike of the portrait of Christ ,mine has a perfect strike ..Which the coin itself in any condition is rare ,one with the condition mine is in is even rarer ..My particular specimen is one of the nicer ones known ,it is well documented..I have had it for a number of years ..

Actually I was told by the deal I acquired it from (a very reputable dealer in numismatics )that serious collectors of Ancient coins do not have them graded .It is certified though ,meaning I have papers of authentication for it .

Justinian the 2nd was the first person to depict an image of Christ on coinage ..

It has the Byzantine Emperor Justinian the 2nd on the reverse ..

I have a bunch of Silver Eagles ,as well as bunch of other American coins ..

I am avid coin collector in addition to being a video game collector .This coin is the 1st coin to depict Christ from the 7th century ,it is my favorite coin and the most valuable coin in my collection .

Yeah,I hear you ..The only repro I own is a CIB 25th Anniversary NWC Edition by RetroUSB,and the ONLY I own that is because it was signed by 2 of the original winners of the NWC ..

SMB3 ,SMW and All Night Nippon SMB for the comical twist it has been given on the original SMB ..

A childhood friend of mine that have not seen since childhood had “Simon’s Quest “while I had CV1 and 3 ..I could never get into CV2 growing up ,I love it now though ..This same friend of mine was the only I knew of that could figure out all the “Cryptic riddles/clues in CV2 as well ..

I don’t collect “Sealed Games “so I won’t know ..

Because most people in the Post Office are not collectors of Retro Gaming goodness and probably can give 2 shits about retro gaming treasures .They probably think that “old stuff “is garbage ,and worthless ..lol

Recently I have been doing a lot eBay and other auction site searches on NWCs to see what the current retail is on the cart ,and I blown away by all the grossly inflated prices are on the repro carts ..Especially on eBay ,some sellers are listing this things at $600 and $700 ,I mean really for a repro?As an owner of a Official Grey NWC I am a little concerned by how “legit “some of these later NWC repros appear to be ..When RetroUSB released their version of the NWC repro I was happy to see they manufactured theirs to look nothing like an original cart ,it is unfortunate 1Up Retros have not fellowed that example.Except for the appearance of the Dipswitches the 1Up Retros version of both the Grey and the Gold NWC look dangerous close to the real things ..
