This game has a terrible camera, but I was still having fun with it. The levels are fine and I enjoy the game's sense of humor. But then I got to the first boss fight... This game has the worst boss fights I've ever encountered.

You have to collect 100 marbles riding a barely controllable pig and the boss is also collecting them, so in order to get all marbles you need to pick up a bullet to shoot him so he drops his marbles. Of course the boss is also shooting you to get your marbles. So this takes a long time.

As if this first boss fight wasn't bad enough the 2nd boss fight is the same, except this boss can teleport... And yes, of course he can teleport in front of you to pick up a bullet and instantly shoot you. 🤬

I finally beat the 2nd boss after a bunch of tries, but I'll be slowly making my way through this game.

Yikes. I remember the bosses being similar and the camera angles sucking, but not how you have to beat the bosses nor the difficulty to do so. That really blows. Stay strong!

  2. A man is sitting down for a job interview.

Interviewer: It certainly looks like you are qualified for the position, but I am curious what this 4 year gap in your resume is?

Interviewee: Oh, that was when I went to Yale.

Interviewer: Wow, that's fantastic! Your hired!

Interviewee: Thanks so much! Times have really been tough. I really needed this yob....

Finished TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge yesterday with the kids.  This game was just like playing a sequel to the original arcade game.  Mindless button mashing.  We played a stage every day or so.  Which gives you about 10 minutes of fun at a time.

I have also got to applaud the lack of cheapness in the game.  There’s only one fight with the one hit one kill mechanic, and that’s really easy to avoid.

The most people I ever got to play at one time was 4.  I really want to get 6 people around the TV and remember how awesome it was to play with a bunch of friends.

The game was fun enough that my kids immediately said can we play it again?

I played through it with my 7 year old and had those nostalgic feelings. Very good!

  4. A man is shot in the genitalia with a shotgun in a tragic hunting accident and is rushed to the ER. They get him back to stable condition, and the doctor says, "it looks like you have sustained quite a bit of damage to your penis with that buck shot, so I'll have to refer you to my sister."

The man nervously asks, "why? Is she a plastic surgeon?"

"No," the doctor replies, "she plays the flute. She'll have to show you where to put your fingers so you don't piss in your face."

  5. An elderly couple is celebrating their 50th anniversary, and the woman tells her husband, "I want to do something special this year." The husband asks, "what are you thinking? Going to a French Bistro or a fancy steakhouse?" The woman says, "I want to do this thing that the kids are doing nowadays called a 69."

Agreeing to his wife's desires, he strips down and lays on the bed. She slowly straddles over him and breaks wind. The woman quickly straightens up and embarrassingly looks behind her, but the man doesn't say anything. Thinking he somehow may not have noticed, she bends down again, but this time rips a massive fart. The woman nervously looks back to see how her husband handles it, and he says, "I love you as much as the first day we were married, honey, but I'm not sure I can take 67 more of these."

  6. I repaired the thumbsticks on some of my controllers while I was at the office today. It really was not too difficult; I also dabbed synthetic grease anywhere that would have friction. I have not had a tight thumbstick on an N64 controller since I was probably 7. I could immediately tell the difference. It is uncanny how nasty it was inside a couple of the controllers. I spent far more time cleaning than replacing the parts.

My least favorite N64 platformer so far.
The game has a wacky story and fun characters, but the gameplay is just boring with a ton of backtracking and mandatory collectables.

I'll probably start Earthworm Jim 3D this weekend.

I tried Earthworm Jim a couple years back - enjoyed the gameplay, but it became repetitive quicker than I had hoped. Please post your thoughts once you play it!

a lot of em are also on PC buttttt

Armed and dangerous - Lucasarts published but made by the guys who did mdk (shiny studios) wacky weapons, Monty Python type humor, but a shooter. Some of the weapons are heckin funnnnnny. Overall Very silly and good dialog.

Kung Fu chaos - maybe didn't age so well but  regardless of offensive stereotypes the spirit of it is goofy and kinda a power stone style fighter with a lot of movie references, they were trying to be corny but it looks kinda questionable

    Big yasss on voodoo Vince

All the sega stuff, jet set radio future,  gunvalkyrie,  panzer dragoon orta, crazy taxi 3, house of the dead 3 with guns, shenmue 2, otogi's, PSO, outrun, toe jam and earl

Games from rare ltd: grabbed by the ghoulies, conker,

Tecmo games: ninja gaiden's, dead or alive's (volleyball is practically a dating sim)

Kotor and Kotor 2 are on everything now but those were always high up on the recommends, but with new versions the loading time is probably much better, it felt like it took forever back in the day but not as long as Morrowind lol

I would also have said fable but that's got the anniversary edition on 360

Breakdown was interesting, first person vomiting in the first 10mins haha

Brute force - squad shooter but i beat it back in the day and enjoyed it,  would be fuzzy but I liked it for what it was worth

    Oddworld's

Quantum redshift - futuristic racing, team that did the wipeout series

Chronicles of Riddick - decent fps

Blinx 1 and 2 are cute and one of the first games I remember having a rewind option, which was really cool at the time

Games I haven't played but look good -

Phantom dust, metal wolf chaos, arx Fatalis, call of Cthulhu, curse the eye of ISIS, Deus ex invisible war, dino crisis 3, ummm

I am not a fan of RPGs, but I thoroughly enjoyed Fable

Should you have access to a copy, I would recommend giving Steel Battalion a shot, as it really is a neat experience, even if the difficulty ramps up way quicker than you're ready for, and you lose all progress every time you fail due to permadeath.  If you don't already have a copy, know someone you can borrow a copy with, or get a copy for a bargain basement price, I advise against picking it up, even the second edition set with the blue switches, as it tends to be really prohibitively expensive due to the controller.  I meant to preorder it back in the day, but didn't have the cash until the last day, then got stuck inside work all day to an unusually busy day and missed it.  GameStop was literally next door to where I worked in our mall, which made this all the more annoying.  Fortunately, I had made friends with the folks that worked there, and got a random call at home from one of the employees telling me they had a copy I could have for $50 if I got down there right away; apparently some kid had preordered it and paid for it using his mom's credit card, but without her permission, so she made him return it.  When it came back, it was missing all the screws that held the controller together, all the inserts, etc., so I got a steep discount.

I bought Steel Battalion CIB a few years ago and I've talked myself into putting it together on a couple different occasions, but immediately became overwhelmed once starting to take everything out of the box. looks really good, but whew...

I do, actually the original Xbox was my primary system for that generation (followed by the Gamecube). A lot of the games I have for it now are from my original purchases as I never traded that system back in, and that continued into the 360 generation. I'd say I jumped off the love train with the Xbox One though as the entire model with that system flew in the face of my entire existence as a gamer, but that doesn't eliminate the good times had. Funny enough, my entry into the original Xbox was begrudging as I didn't really care for Microsoft entering into the arena, but once they got Jet Set Radio and some other choice Sega releases I decided I'd jump in, being a big Dreamcast guy and all. I fell for the system pretty hard after playing JSRF, but like many, Halo also enchanted me and the ride kept going.

I don't have up to date pictures at the moment, but I settled on 445 games for the original Xbox and 604 for the 360, both being my primary multiplatform systems to explain that figure really. The Xbox One likely won't exceed 250 in the end if I had to guess, and I think I have about 15 games for the Series X up to this point. The picture below is probably the best shot I have and is still missing a lot of the view, but maybe I can take better ones later.

That is awesome! My teenage years were spent playing XBOX and XBOX 360 so I am very nostalgic for both consoles. I collected OG XBOX for a few years and was just about to dive into 360 games, but I then moved - I gave up a larger home in town to own a slab rural home with land taking my game room from 500 sq ft to 120 sq ft. Sold all my Pre-N64 stuff for flash carts and had an OG console modded with the full Library. Still buying XBOX games but at a much slower pace...Among other large items, I bought a factory case of sealed Burger King games right before the house purchase so why not add a couple more boxes of games in my parents house.....I envy you greatly, good sir!

Sooooooooo there's definitely an ending and a new mode unlocked when you beat it on Normal, but there's a credit roll when you beat it on Extreme or higher. What does everyone think? I lean toward the credit roll.

Seeing the credits has been the criteria for completing most of the games on the list so it would make sense to require it, but I don't like it. Pokemon Puzzle League had to be beat on 'Hard' to see credits which I didn't mind, but games like 1080 and the Extreme G titles have to be beaten on ridiculous difficulty which I absolutely don't like. Some seem arbitrary like Star Wars Shadow of the Empire must be beat on Medium and Killer Instinct on Hard - I assume that is because of a credit roll, but I have tried and failed so I wouldn't know. Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs has to be beat with Americans in Pilot mode which I am confident is not the only way to see credits....so I guess what I'm saying is I don't know?.......
