If it gets to 12, I might be up for it. 10 just takes too much skill out of it. Too many established players per team. No disrespect.

Also, is this Yahoo or ESPN?

It is Yahoo and 12 is my size preference as well. It's not looking like we're gonna be able to get there this year though. It has been difficult getting people to commit this year. @Quest4Nes used to get a good turn out in his fantasy leagues in the good ol' NA days.

  2. Hey all, I have had a 10-team head-to-head fantasy basketball league for the last few years and our league is one guy short this year. Anyone in NA looking to join a league? It's just a $30 buy-in, top 3 pays.

It is possible that we could make it a 12-team league this year if there is enough interest, but fantasy basketball doesn't get near as much love as its football counterpart so I'm not counting on it.

Please PM me with any questions or if you are interested

  3. I also think Metroid blows, but Super Metroid is easily in my top 10 favorite games of all time. I think for me it's the complete lack of atmosphere and Super Metroid put in a map which is 100% necessary.

  4. I remember buying an iron & ironing board when I was first married because my mom always ironed everything. I spent 10 minutes trying to iron a shirt and the wrinkles wouldn't come out so I asked my wife what I was doing wrong and she had no idea because she never ironed anything either so we gave the stuff away. It's been 14 years now and regret nothing.

I am kind of getting into sealed 360 for no real reason. Any sealed COD games floating around? Or other mid-tier titles?

It seems like there are alot of sealed 360 games floating around. I have never been a sealed collector, but I have bought some lots recently with undisclosed sealed games, and also recently had a string of sealed 360 games locally that were just too cheap to pass up.

But then you have 4 players for Mario games 😅

Haha. I play Mario Party & Smash Bros with my 2 oldest (7 & 11) and the rules are that I will only play if we randomize the mini game/location otherwise there is nonstop bickering. I tried play SMB Deluxe with them and it was a nightmare! I can keep whatever pace I need with one of them, but neither is willing to keep the pace with the other and it was absolutely anxiety-inducing.

  7. People are adaptive creatures. We become settled in our status quo, whether it be where we live, financially, married with children or single, etc. Before I was married, I was happy with the single life - I could do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted, I could buy whatever I wanted when I wanted, I could consider my own wants and feeling above any others. However, I have been married for nearly 14 years now and have 3 children. POLAR OPPOSITE - I have to consider everyone else's thoughts & feelings above my own and there is a ton of responsibility, where I would have had none in the single life, but I am completely content in what I have and don't know what to do when they are not around.

If I had stayed single I would have a monstrous video game collection and likely living in the huge apartment in my parents basement completely free from any responsibility, monetarily or otherwise.

Having taken the marriage rout, my video game collection is meager, there have been financial struggles, health scares, and may other problems to hurdle, but I have people to share my life with. When my children grow up, I'll still be able to enjoy them and they will hopefully give me grandchildren that I can enjoy as well.

Knowing what I know now, when I'm elderly and reflect on my life, I very much doubt I'll regret my decision to have a family, but I'm also not 100% sure I would have regretted it if I decided not to have a family.

I agree that the first 3 rounds were close other than the Keenan pick, he’s not even close to as strong as the others IMO and would not make a the top 5 on any team for me. I figured my picks wouldn’t be favorites as a couple (Belushi & Radner) are older without the long movie careers like others since they died young. But no doubt they are both top 10, but likely top 5 cast members of all time.

Belushi & Radner are definitely considered some of the best cast members. I just don't have any attachment to them for the reasons you mentioned. I also have absolutely no love toward any of the cast members after the Wiig/Hader/Samburg era
