3 levels/aliens/lanes(whatever you'd call em) left on Milo's Astro Lanes until it's done.

Hydro Thunder is coming along. There are quite a few racers on the N64 that require you to memorize the track, find the hidden shortcuts, and don't make a mistake to win and this is easily my favorite of those games......Also, eff Lego Racers for all of the aforementioned reasons.......

I may try out Hydro Thunder before I jump into rainbow six. I put alot of quarters in the hydro thunder arcade cab as a kid...

Hmm, good question. I didn't own any of the hockey games growing up, but I do remember renting most of them (I don't think I rented Breakaway 99, but definitely 98). NHL 99 was the one I rented most often and I think I still prefer it over the rest.
Over the last couple of years, thanks to this thread, I've gone back and played NHL 99, the Breakaway games, Olympic Hockey, and Gretzky 98 (I dabbled a bit with the original Gretzky a year or two ago, but quickly moved on after someone else beat it). I've found some enjoyment with each of them, but I do find all of the N64 hockey games more mediocre than I remember.
The only one I can't comment on is Blades of Steel, as I have never played it as a kid or as an adult.
I thought Blades of Steel and Olympic Hockey were definitely the worst. Ice Hockey on NES and the n64 titles are really the only Hockey games I've actually put time into so I don't have much else to pull from. My clear favorites would have been the Wayne Gretzkys if it weren't for midway's need to put rubberband AI in every sports title they've ever made

Finally finished all the mirrored tracks in Ridge Racer 64! It was fun, but since I'm not great at racers the last 3-4 took me quite a lot of practice. I can go back and finish the Extreme tracks if that's needed for the completion to count, though. Good game, but at the same time I don't think I'd play it again.
Either way, I'm going to get started on Donkey Kong 64 tonight if no one else is tackling it. Been meaning to properly beat that game for a long time.
DK64 doesn't get near as much love as it should.................I may think it's better than Mario 64 and both Zeldas

I played through all the sports games a few years ago and quickly learned which ones were trash and which ones acceptable. I prefer the Breakaway series of all the hockey simulation games on the console, but I had breakaway 98 as a kid so I may be biased. Would you prefer any of the others over breakaway?

Great work guys with getting to 100 before the end of Jan. I know I’m only 2 games down but I will definitely try to help through the year when I can.
I think we can definitely beat it this year with the way things are going hopefully more people jump on board as we get closer to the end.
Definitely! The 2021 thread hit 245ish and I sadly wasn't able to participate that year. My goal is 50 games this year. There are a few that may require a specialist: Aerofighters Assault, the NASCARS, Nuclear Strike, the Turoks; but there are certainly people on VGA that can handle them. This should be our year!

Thanks for the advice @LeatherRebel5150 I will definitely follow those instructions! It may be a while until I get back to it though so if you still want to do Wrestlemania, feel free. It would free up time for me to play something different

yikes, also, wwf games suck, i hope someone can beat them, i bought a guide for one, so maybe it will help me and figure out the wwf games.....
No Mercy gets all the love, but I cant share their sentiments with my sample-size

Also, the better wrestlers counter every freaking thing you do for the first 2-3 mins...

i meant that dr. mario is better . You can beat any game you want besides what is "soft dibbed" Also, are you good at the wwf/ecw games?
Haha, Dr Mario 64 is probably in my top 5 games of all time.
I had Wrestlemania 2000 as a kid and wanted to beat it this year....so...I put maybe 6 hours in a couple weeks ago and not liking it. The 3-way and tag team matches were a pain and all I want is a health bar!

you take that back you dirty, dirty @Nugfish. I like it though . I can't play for hours upon hours, but it's fun in spurts and good once you get the hang of it. I was gonna do it the other day, but got busy.

That was my first time playing Wetrix. It was good for 30 mins, but it's certainly no Dr Mario...

All-Star Tennis 99. When people complain that the N64 hasn't aged well graphically, they're talking about this game right here. I don't remember struggling with this game last year, but this time it felt like the only 2 options when placing a shot were "directly at your opponent" or "half a court-width out of bounds."
Kazaa to you on this one. The couple times I have tried it have resulted in mass frustration...

Besides the 2 Halos, Crimson Skies is my favorite game on the console.
