  1. That was a lot of reading with a few detours, but I think I have FINALLY figured out what the hell is going on here.

Good luck with your butt, @Gamegearguy!! Try not to be so concerned about the Dr. and just explain to them what's going on. They have people come in to tell them things like this on a daily basis. It's literally their job to help people and hopefully they can help you find a solution.

Best thing you can do is book the appointment and go in to see them so you've done that, good job!!! Now just go in and let them do their job.

In the meantime, maybe if you're not enjoying MAKING games for the time being you could play some, organize them, or clean the ones you have? Maybe finally beating a game you've always wanted to can be fun. Maybe rearranging your space or adding a different shelf will help in "sprucing things up". 😎👍

For sure - microswitch joysticks "click" when you move them, whereas the Advantage and other early console joysticks don't have that sort of feedback (which is what I meant by mushy). That's not necessarily a bad thing though - I actually like playing Atari 2600 with the stock "mushy"-style joysticks.

    Aaaaahhhhh yes, gotcha. 😆

The feedback is whether you get out of the way or die. 😅

Yeah dude - your "hidden gem" comments about Dragon Spirit were exactly why I decided to revisit it!

And while I also love the NES Advantage, these days I play nearly everything with the control panel on my multicade. (And I fear that, since I'm spoiled with microswitch arcade controls now, I'll never enjoy the mushy Advantage the way I used to haha.)

Haha, well great!! Glad I could help out. 😆

Yowza. I barely know what any of that means. 😳

I think it means is that you are enjoying yourself with your arcade type machine so that's great!

Let's try to be respectful, though, and not call the NES Advantage "mushy". No need to be rude.

Haha, jokes. I did immediately think about it, though, haha. I think mine's pretty tight. 🤔

At least that's what I'm telling myself. 😅

  4.

    I feel heard.

Haha, jokes. This game is awesome. Great review.

You can beat it without the save states, I have faith!!! Now that you know what it takes you can get it done.

What controller are you using? Personally, I use the NES Advantage for most/all NES shooters, so that's my go to for this game. It's great because you can toggle back and forth to the ground "bombs" or hold it if necessary (I believe?)

I'm not ashamed to admit I likely couldn't beat this game without the NES Advantage. My skills are also Fisher Price compared to the big guns around here. 😅

  5. Came in to check out what is new at Chuck E. Cheese..... 😳

Sorry to see you're so disillusioned MegaMan52. I imagine it's very difficult to do the type of vlog you do, so I commend you for that. I think it would take a TON of work and practise with editing/production and finding a proper online presence in order to make it financially viable would be difficult.

Keep at it, I'm sure you will find your way. I have found the Chuck E. Cheese vlogs interesting.

I would try to take a more positive approach, though, if you want to grow your channel/Chuck E Cheese Thread.

Fyi there are around 200-300 video rental stores currently in Canada. They're mostly in small towns all over, though there are 4 I know of here in the core of Toronto. I used to like visiting the one by Yonge and Bloor when I worked around there a few years ago.

Can confirm these exist in rural Canada.

I just called and double checked with one as there was a rental section inside a gas station nearby (20 min drive 😋) but they just pulled it down 6 months ago. I don't get gas there, so I don't check in regularly.

It was a dusty little corner wall  behind the 8 year old canned food and toilet paper, beside the bathroom. Classic.
