Heritage Auctions Thread
final fight cd replied to ExplodedHamster's topic in Sealed & Graded Collecting
With that absolutely huge disconnect between eBay and HA, these are obviously people just now jumping on the bandwagon. At what point do these “investors” price out everybody and can only sell to other investors? Surely there are only a handful of people driving these prices up, right? -
They didn’t limit 1 per customer for the morning buying session? I would love to know what percent of people bought multiple with the intention of scalping. I too was back and forth but decided not to. I just looked and they appear to still be in stock.

Thanks for the post. I was able to figure it out shortly after I made my post. My problem was I wasn’t unzipping any of the files. I can’t believe I waited until now to get a flash cart. Might have to explore the other options terraonion sells. Though it does seem like the modding required for the disc based consoles isn’t for the average joe like myself.

Hi. I just received the terraonion mega sd. This is my first flashcart. Can somebody give me a helping hand? edit: i am following the instructions that came with the cart, but still can't get anything to load. It says I am missing the US bios, but I have the US bios unzipped in a folder.

What's new in your collection/Pick-up Thread !!!
final fight cd replied to Galdius's topic in Show Off
Nice! Robo and Android are great Sega cd exclusives. It seems like silpheed gets a lot of love, but I think it’s by far the weakest shmup on the system. It’s actually pretty hard too. One of the few shmups I could never beat. But might have more to do with the fact the game could not hold my attention to learn it. -
Your Best Pickups: on NA, in the wild, on ebay
final fight cd replied to attakid101's topic in General Collecting Discussion
wild: late 2000s I found a factory sealed double dragon II at a goodwill. only paid a couple bucks for it. I would love to know what it i sold for back then. Late 2000s found a cdx and bunch of CIB sega cd games at an indoor flea market. The standout game was snatcher. Seller wasn't keen on selling at that moment, as he didn't have anything priced out yet. It was around an hour drive away so i didn't make that same flea market run for another couple weeks. When i finally did, surprisingly, everything was present BUT snatcher. even though he had to price it out, i still got everything dirt cheap. snatcher was probably only a $100-150 game at that point, so making that run definitely wasn't a priority. If that was today, i would have been much more persistent haha Ebay: late 2000s picked up a CIB copy of keio for the sega cd for a BIN of $75. I forget prices back then, but it was probably a $125-150 game at that point. Got it cheap because the CD had a very small crack on the edge, which didn't effect game play at all. A couple years ago i picked up a sealed copy of lunar eternal blue for the sega cd for only $200 BIN. The game was probably $100 at the point for a CIB. A working designs RPG in very fine condition - crackless case, no rips in wrap - was an amazing deal to me. That is what dreams are made of and why I still check ebay daily. NA/SA N/a -
Should I get my cib collection graded?

Should I get my cib collection graded?
final fight cd replied to Matthewnimmo's topic in Sealed & Graded Collecting
I wouldn’t grade anything CIB unless it was uber rare, like magical chase or metal slug. if the games are already opened, I would just opt for the cheap plastic protectors. how much would it even cost to grade all 32x games? What does it cost to grade a single game? -
He also had a sealed radical Rex. A couple years ago I offered my open copy (sticker on case, non cracked, light scuffing on case) plus a $1000 dollars. And he refused. So I am positive he won’t get rid of his Snatcher. I actually have seen a handful of sealed snatchers recently. A WATA graded copy just went for $4k.
-
Realistically l don’t think I can do it. I haven’t even seen some of the titles sealed. Ever. And if/when they do pop up, I’m sure they would go for money I wouldn’t feel comfortable spending on a video game. But thanks. I have a handful of duplicates. All In like new condition. Actually, I think they were only opened to check for any extra paperwork. So the cases are top notch. I forget exactly what I have, but if you are in the mood for buying my, let me know.
-
I only need 6 games for a full set. If anybody follows Sega CD, guessing those last few titles I need probably isn't hard. So I'll just lay them out for ya: crime patrol $500 fataul fury special keio flying squadron snatcher space adventure the terminator $1000 Also, I might be interested in other sealed Sega CD games. So if you have anything let me know!

I’m not seeing how the monkey island is a variant. Can you point out where the difference(s) are from the original? im confused about what you’re saying about the night trap variant. You have the red box, red box with sticker, and blue box. CD/32x games are not included because they need the 32x to be played. The pic you included is a CD/32x version. Of course it is a variant, but a line has be drawn somewhere. I choose to make that line at CD/32x games.
