  1. Trevor McFur is done! Also, the time limit has been extended! Check the original post for details.
  2. Oof, I lost at the last stage of Trevor McFur. Will try again later. 5/12 through this challenge and only one game completed...I may have to extend it.
  3. Are you saying I just beat Ultra Vortek for nothing!? Seriously, I just beat Ultra Vortek. This thread is no joke!
  4. Hello and welcome to the Video Game Sage Jaguar Challenge! Let's see if VGS can beat every Atari Jaguar game in 3 months (April 1, 12:00:00 AM to June 30, 11:59:59 PM)! Like the Sega Master System Challenge from a few years ago, I'm making the time limit shorter than other "beat every" challenges due to the small size of the library. I know the Jaguar isn't a very popular console, but maybe there are some others here like me that picked one up on a whim, but never spent any time with it. I figured it's time for me to give some of these games a chance. For those without a Jaguar, don't forget that there are a bunch of Jaguar games on the Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection, available on all modern platforms. Rules: Post the Atari Jaguar games you have played to completion within the time frame in this thread. Pictures are encouraged, but not required. No cheat codes, turbo controllers, or emulator tricks may be used. Unbeaten: Air Cars Alien vs. Predator Atari Karts Attack of the Mutant Penguins Breakout 2000 Brutal Sports Football Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tails Cannon Fodder Checkered Flag Club Drive Cybermorph Defender 2000 Doom Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story Evolution: Dino Dudes Fever Pitch Soccer Fight for Life Flashback: The Quest for Identity Hover Strike International Sensible Soccer Iron Soldier Iron Soldier 2 I-War Kasumi Ninja Missile Command 3D NBA Jam: Tournament Edition Pinball Fantasies Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure Rayman Super Burnout Supercross 3D Syndicate Tempest 2000 Theme Park Towers II Troy Aikman NFL Football Val d'Isere Skiing & Snowboarding White Men Can't Jump Wolfenstein 3D Worms Zero 5 Zool 2 Zoop Beaten: Ultra Vortek (Red) Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy (Red) Power Drive Rally (Red) Ruiner Pinball (Red) Raiden (Gaia Gensouki) Flip Out (Red)
  5. Not a pinball game! Why don't you believe me? Look at the flippers. Way too close together. How could a ball get passed them? I'll post one more picture. The sidebars should give it away to anyone who has played since they're present for a large part of the game.
  6. Not that. This game came out more recently than Cuphead.
  7. Sadly, it's not a Pinball game. I've played it and not once did I activate a flipper or plunger. All I got were some unlikable characters endlessly yammering about nonsense which was occasionally interrupted with a sequence of mindless button mashing.
  8. One more pinball game done, Patriotic Pinball. Beat the default scores in regular mode for both tables. Can't recommend this one. Having the game freeze to load while the ball is in play is really annoying.
  9. It's not another pinball game. Nope.
  10. I beat the high scores in all the tables of Hyper 3-D Pinball, so consider it done. Not on the same level as Necronomicon and Last Gladiators, but pretty good overall.
  11. I've been in a Pinball mood lately, so I went and cleared another one. True Pinball is done. Since there is no ending, I beat the default high scores on all four tables. Not great, but I did like it better than the Power Ranger one. Edit: Just finished another one. Beat the default high score in Pro Pinball.
  12. If you want to include Rhythm games, there's a bunch. Maestromusic (PS1), Maestromusic II (PS2) and Mad Maestro/Bravo Music (PS2) are classical music themed. I think most of the Donkey Konga and Taiko Rhythm Master games have classical tracks as well. Pretty sure the Daigasso Band Brothers games do too.
  13. There's a Beethoven in Welcome House, a Japan exclusive PS1 and Saturn game. I don't recall for sure which one, but checking a youtube video, it appears to be Piano Concerto No. 5 Emperor (it's not actually played in the video though).
  14. That looked very familiar to me. My first thought was MULE, but I knew that wasn't it. I figured if I thought about it few minutes, it would come to me, so I continued to browse the forums...and I'm sure G-Type knows what happened next. I only hunted a Wumpus in MULE, but never in Hunt the Wumpus.
  15. Played through Power Rangers Zeo: Full Tilt Battle Pinball...twice. Beating it on normal difficulty ends with the villain challenging you to play hard difficulty. The game is generous with lives and continues, so it isn't very difficult even on hard mode. It's not a bad game and I enjoyed it more than when I first gave it a shot years ago, but I think the Saturn KAZe pinball games (Last Gladiators and Necronomicon) are much better. Also played through Ray Tracers. Taito could have easily just called it Chase H.Q. 3D. It looks good and plays well enough, but kinda boring overall.
  16. It's okay. I'd like to give them a shot regardless if they're still on the list or not. I could still post my thoughts on them here even if they've already been beaten.
  17. That's it for the TurboGrafx-16 weekly contest! Hopefully those who joined in had some fun.
  18. I'm hoping that's what it is. I'm going to open it up in the next couple days. The Analogue Duo is something I'm considering, but playing old games on a modern TV never looked quite right to me.
  19. I'd like to join you on this if I can get my TurboGrafx-CD working. I bought a broken one years ago and never made an attempt to get it repaired. It powers on fine, but the disc doesn't spin. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
  20. I thought about trying to beat the Sega Master System library in the past. My problem is that there are games that I really, really do not enjoy. Not even a little. After 2 minutes with something like Great Football, I just have to stop. There's also the Sports Pad games which are nearly unplayable. I wonder how many people actually beat those without an emulator. Best of luck if you attempt that. I'd like to see it done.
