this is all I’m seeing in terms of games @phart010. Pretty darn lackluster- 1

Hmm this is tough. I would say star fox 64 is the only good one but then there’s star fox assault. I would say Mario strikers charged but the other 2 are at least good, just not great. And then I would say boktai 1 is the only good one but I haven’t played 3 and I’m currently playing lunar knights which is good so far. And then there’s paper Mario the thousand year door. Really really good. But same thing. I haven’t played the first one or color splash. I honestly can’t think of a series that only has 1 good entry.

Definitely digimon world ds, digimon world dawn and digimon world dusk, and also boktai. I loved Pokémon and the dragon warrior monsters/dragon quest monsters joker series as a kid but I never knew those digimon games existed until I was either almost done college or had graduated. I would’ve sunk so much time into those games as a kid.
boktai is a game I kinda knew about as a kid. I love the mega man battle network series and there are several chips in the game you can get that have characters or weapons from boktai. So I knew it existed but that was about it. No clue what the game was about. Then I played it in college and absolutely loved it. Again, another game I would’ve sunk way too much time into as a kid.

I know I keep bringing it up, but Star Fox Zero is one of the saddest cases of a game being reviewed poorly by "critics" who can't actually play games. Star Fox Zero is an extraordinary game, and it's easily the best game in the series so far. People tend to be very nostalgic for Star Fox 64, but once you get good at Star Fox Zero and aim for 100%, it really makes Star Fox 64 look old and quaint.
Even more impressively, I found myself frustrated when I revisited Star Fox 64 on the 3DS as there were many times I thought to myself "I should have been able to get that guy!" because Star Fox 64 is a more constrained play style than Zero.
While Star Fox Zero takes a lot of getting used to, the controls are a huge benefit to the series and moves the combat forward in a good way. I'm always urging people to give it a second chance, as it's one of Nintendo's most misunderstood games.
If they ever released it for switch, I would play it. Never owned a Wii U. Star fox assault is another very good star fox game. The multiplayer battles were always a blast with friends.

If windwaker gets crapped on a bunch for all the water, then that would be one I really enjoyed. The exploration was a lot of fun and you could eventually warp to different points via a song so I never did quite understand the whole fuss of having to sail around a bunch. There’s a lot of wandering around in most zelda games, but it’s usually via land.
another one would be the witch and hero series. I see a lot of reviews give the 3 games in the series a 20%, 40%, or 50% rating but I don’t understand it. They’re all solid games that I’d give at the very least at least 70%. Are they repetitive, sure, but they’re all still enjoyable.

For all you stranger things fans, this version is better than Kate Bush’s

Thanks everyone. That’s what I figured. I was looking at upcoming 3ds games just to see if there’s anything else after Andro Dunos 2, and I saw “yugioh 3ds” so I googled that and found yugioh zexal which is on the eshop in the u.s but got a physical release in Europe. As a yugioh fan, I’d pick that physical copy up if it could be played on my u.s 3ds. I know I can mod mine but eh I prefer not to if I can, so eshop or nothing it is.

Dumb question, can you play PAL 3DS games on a U.S 3DS? I know it’s region locked so the answer is probably no but I just wanted to make sure.

I'm upset bc I opened it and played omega ruby for maybe 3 hours and completely forgot about it. Should've kept it sealed and forgot about it.
I'm just surprised how poorly it apparently sold. They were on clearance at Walmart at one point. I wonder if the diamond pearl double pack has similar numbers. Those were both recently on sale and the double pack was on sale a couple weeks after release after at Costco.
Yea not sure. I remember seeing several copies at Best Buy. I did look up the diamond and pearl double pack for switch and that’s actually going for below msrp right now but the sun and moon dual pack is creeping up in price so maybe diamond pearl will get there eventually.

Looks like @Reed Rothchildand I both finished the king knight campaign in shovel knight yesterday and can both attest it is incredible. Definitely worth playing if any of you are interested and haven’t played it yet.

Friendly reminder that Digimon Survive (the tactics fire emblem esque digimon game) comes out July 29th!

You copycat lololol. I just completed the king knight last night as well and it is definitely the best of the 4 campaigns.
now to decide what to play next. I was thinking maybe lunar knights since it’s basically boktai 4 and I never hear anyone talk about it

Well let me know if it’s any good after you play it so I know if I need to track down a copy or not

I don't have any card-only copies of DS games, they are way too small for me to take care of! What do you mean by generic cases?
The Japanese games are Mario 64 DS (I was excited enough about the DS to preorder it so I'd have it before it came out in the west), Retro Game Challenge 2, Legendary Starfy 4, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (since it's a completely different game from Elite Beat Agents), and Umihara Kawase. Oh, and some obscure gothic lolita game I have no clue how I ended up with.
Like all the ones on the left look different, like someone printed out custom cases or something. Or are those imports?
lol I did the same thing with Pokémon diamond. I couldn’t wait 6 months for them to translate it so I just bought the Japanese copy. Ended up getting one with the glitch where you could surf through the door in the elite 4 so that was cool. Ooooo retro game challenge 2 does sound fun. I might have to pick that up myself.

Agreed. 3D World and the later NSMB games feel like "casual" content, even amidst the already fairly casual nature of the Mario franchise on the whole.
My favorite thing to do in NSMb was to play with a group of friends and we’d all be asses to each other and try and chuck each other off the stage lol. Then you’d have to hop in a bubble for safety. We really screwed ourselves over on quite a few levels but it added a lot of fun to an easy casual game.

You’ve got some nice stuff there!! What are all the Japanese games? And are all the generic cases your cart only copies?

That is a nice solid DS collection you have there good sir9 minutes ago, Mr. CIB said:A DS Complete set (over 1700+) is roughly $15-$18. There are about 70+ games that will take over at or over that $100 mark.
Just an easy 25k to complete the set nbd lol. Idk how that compares to other full sets in terms of pricy-ness. Wow that many that high already huh?
Any good stuff for Amazon Prime Day sale?

Interesting. Any way to see what’s a specific prime day deal vs just a normal sale? I see prime day deal or prime exclusive deal for the 2 I linked but not for the ones you mentioned.
