It’s not hard to input a new title but I’m sure with the speed of releases they rather wait to track the data when it’s closer to the end of the lifecycle (not my preference but the hard truth) There are sometimes ten new releases a week for the switch alone and if you add PS4 in there....it can be a bear to keep up with even with a passion for collecting the console. You have to gather all the data and then find a picture that can be used to display to the end user in a acceptable format.
The time it takes auditing bad data that doesn’t get picked up by the algorithm is a beast..... not only do you have to be knowledgeable in the collecting category there are times you have to review each and every listing because of how people label titles in eBay. This can be hundreds a day...... it’s a lot of work and requires more than one person to do. Not sure of GC plans but no adjustment to the algorithm is going to fix it.
I should have added what I’ve done is purchased the VGA acrylic cases for the sealed cardboard games I have now to avoid and drop damage.
as far as the protos ..... I wouldn’t want to grade them. They are far more unique and special than a sealed game.
This 100% in the interest of full disclosure I’m out of the grading business. Maybe 5 years ago I got a lot of games graded with the VGA and they still sit on my shelf Therefore, I haven’t sent anything to WATA. I don’t see the reason to grade anything unless you plan to sell in the near term. I hope WATA flourishes and succeeds but the growing pains they are experiencing are unprecedented. How many people work there? 3 maybe..... far too much work for the amount of stuff I see posted and they delayed turn around times. The only reason people are accepting of the delay in time is because the “potential” of the money they can make selling it.
Interesting development...... maybe the guy who was twitting saying he was the high bidder scared off his competition or some decided not to get into a bidding war.
They’ve been smart enough to stay away from certain systems they have no experience in and say they can’t or haven’t designed cases for them yet. Nothing in life is full proof but with the amount of money they have behind them they will be given a lot of passes.
There is far too much money behind them now to fail for proto mistakes or grading errors. What would hurt them if they were found grading games that were resealed but chances of that are slim to none.
I’m not into fake printing anything UNLESS a box was never created for it. I keep the list below so I know what I have that is a repo and to clearly point it out to my family should anything happen to me and they have a list that disclosed what’s not 100% authentic. The issue is as I’ve seen over the years most people who get into repro boxes etc start off with good intentions and realize they get better and better at it. They then decide they can sell them to make money which promotes fraud especially when they don’t print anything to clearly state it’s a repro. No way around it.

There are about 700 worldwide games with English on the cart..... roughly there are 500 NA releases. It’s passed NA N64 and will pass GameCube in a few months.
People buy games that are sealed and Incase them in plastic with a grade on it never to be opened or used. It’s all in the same..... people will still want an NWC because of what it represents
