  1. I’ve been using AFA for toy grading (mostly sealed Lego), but wanted to know if any of you use CAS? I’ve been pretty loyal to AFA for a long time since they’re also affiliated with VGA, but just wanted to know if anyone has experience with CAS. Thanks!
  2. That’s an excellent question. I have a few CIBs from Wata that list all the parts in my dashboard, but the photos don’t show all of the components.
  3. They leave out the foam block for NES from those photos though and that’s the most Important piece! Also, they sometimes omit the cardboard holder and baggie from SNES cib sub photos.
  4. Yes Genesis- blood code > snes “sweat”. I’m not sure what the Genesis seal curve grade is other than maybe they’re more lenient on the early tube seal releases? MK was not a tube seal though if that’s the case.
  5. Tecmo, Metroid, double dribble, double dragon, Metroid GB are you planning on selling any of the returns? If not, maybe include one you could part with to help with the costs, unless they’re all sacred to you then I get it.
  6. Based on my expert market gauge (sales of the OG), it appears the sealed market is trending upward. A 9.6 A++ sold for $4k in January of this year, which was surprising to me as I thought it was way too low. Tonight’s auction is two seal grades lower (9.6 A) but sold for just over $5k.
  7. Baseball cards are stuffed between book pages and magazines that are later found. Pristine N64 games require a great deal more care to keep in good condition. So for pristine N64 games to remain hidden for another 100 years, knowing that they sold for over a million dollars a hundred years ago, is unlikely. The population of sealed graded games, of where they are at right now, across all systems N64 and earlier, won’t change by much over time. Might even be able to push that to Ps2/xbox gen too. I think Xbox360 and later will grow a little higher. I can still get a sealed Witcher 2 first print for under a hundred bucks.
  8. There is no real market for a 1909 PSA 8 t-206 Ty Cobb green. And there are more of those (8) than there are 9.8 A++ sealed SM64 (3). Even more, there are over 800 PSA authenticated copies of the Ty Cobb out there- 4 times more than sealed red label SM64 authenticated by Wata. Amazing.
  9. You can’t really talk about a “market” when only 3 games exist in that grade. The heritage thread dumps all over it being a common game that “pallets and pallets” are out there and will start flowing in for grades. Pepperidge farms remembers. And that just hasn’t been the case and it’s been over 2 years now.
  10. Just saw the updated wata pop reports. Still no pallets of super Mario 64 9.8 A++. In fact after all this time it looks like barely a pallet of these sealed games have been graded- only 145 after all these years. Technically 92 of the red label version, so not even a pallet probably. freezing cold takes!
  11. How about an original Motorola Razr phone still brand new but not factory sealed?
  12. It’s one of the first 3 episodes, might be the pilot. “How does he do that?” It might be a cartoon but it’s pretty funny even watching as a grown up. Launchpad crashing everything he flies in every episode he’s in is a great running joke.
  13. Can confirm. All the episodes are on Disney+ too if anybody cares like I do!
  14. I like to imagine this gif as sealed video games instead of gold coins
  15. Just gonna put this out there- the SVB collapse might have an impact on alternative assets like sealed and graded video games. Might start seeing prices begin to spike up again as all these cash pullouts are floating around and investors look to trade some of that cash for some sealed Al Unser NES. Might be a good time to sell this summer.
  16. I prefer ps2 games to include the unpunched hangtab, but if it’s not there and doesn’t look like one was there to begin with, I’m good with that too. If I see a game with a sticker outline, I won’t be willing to pay up as much.
  17. The glue on the case bottom. There are a lot of photos dedicated to it, too. Looks suspicious to me.
  18. Said it before and I’ll say it again- that case looks suspicious! The seller should add the pre grade photos for clarity.
  19. Under nothing. They’re not related. Technically Jay-Z owns CGC.
  20. To be fair I think most of my games received fair grades and were what I expected with the exception of one which I think should’ve been a point higher.
  21. That’s because sealed games are rare.
