  1. Got my 2nd submission back today, one of my cases is damaged so will work with CGC to resolve. Also they must take into account stickers when grading, I have a perfect condition game with a sticker I forgot to remove and it got a 9.2 A+. Going to crack it, remove the sticker and sub to WATA.
  2. @stdgrabbag when I got my pokemon silver graded they noted everything in the box, graded my inserts but forgot to put the grades on the label, it's listed on the cert verification on their website. Really interesting this is the 3rd different way I've seen a CIB graded by them. Like what's the process CGC because y'all don't seem to know either.
  3. Sticker removal is back....at $40 sheesh.. Glad most of us have no issue removing ourselves.
  4. Tricky is what I played the most, loved that game. I have a nice copy for Xbox I will grade at some point!
  5. Only video games do I ever see people who don't grade, complain about grading and how they don't understand it. We get it, it's the exact same arguments as on NA in 2008. Do guys feel the same way about CIB grading?
  6. Picked this up in last weeks weekly auction. Crossed off another title I owned as kid! This is the first print no rating, 2nd print has an 'E' rating on the box.
  7. 1/2 submissions that was marked as received on 12/28 was marked as shipped today, 1/17. That is a solid turnaround!
  8. Had a similar situation back in '09. SMB3 was much cheaper then but got it for $85 and graded VGA 90. Congratulations, this is amazing type of find in 2019!
  9. Those look great! I have several PC games I want to send but I can't stand the waiting game at VGA.
  10. That's great! That would mean they will be very strong cases. WATA's new cases will also be polycarbonate so I'm looking forward to those.
  11. My Syberia Collection was used in the CGC holiday aritcle. https://www.cgcvideogames.com/news/ccg-holiday-article
  12. Sent in 2 more subs right before Christmas and both are were marked as received and moved into grading on 12/28! Will be interesting to see when these end up shipping.
  13. I like CGC and will continue to use them, the cases are well designed have a similar feel to their other cases they make for comics and cards. I'm not sure what the case is made out of as it is lighter than I expected so I don't believe its acrylic. The cases are a bit less bulky than WATA but not as tight as a VGA case. The CGC cases can stack as well if you have several of the same case, so you can slide them in bookcase and keep them together. There is an issue that CGC will need to correct that is little annoying on my first batch of games the QR code on the back takes you to the wrong URL. It's missing the last letter that is supposed to be in the URL so it fails to a 404 page when loading. In terms of grading I will need to do more grading to get a feel, I have 7 more games with them now. My perception from my first 2 submissions is their grading seems to be close to how WATA grades. The grades I received I agreed with didn't feel they were overgraded or undergraded. For my Pokemon Silver CIB if I look at the certification number on CGC they do grade the inserts of a CIB, in my case they received a 9.6 and 9.8 however these grades do not appear on the back of the label and I feel like they should be. My first 2 submissions took almost 2 months to be graded however I sent in 2 additional subs right before Christmas and those are already in grading so it now may be a good time to send in.
  14. I've considered the same for my own copies from when I was a kid to preserve them but have reconsidered due to the what if I want to play them thought as well.
  15. Just arrived from WATA! Super Breakout is the highest graded copy with a total POP of 3.
  16. Doom 3 LE is the highest graded copy I've seen. WATA has a 9.8/A as the highest they have graded.
  17. I sent in two orders initially. Received those back today. One of my games was not encased but according to the website the game graded an 9.6. I will contact them on how to get the game back to them to be encased. There was no rejection or anything just appears they forgot to encase the game. Here is a group pic of what I got back.
