Even though most of my game collections don't have a box and are case based.  I still prefer the the simple CIB or Complete to categorize my collection.

Do you have a preference for describing a game with all original materials included?

I completely cleaned the pin connector as well as where it inserts into the main board.  I cleaned the expansion port connector and the pins on the expansion pack.  I reflowed the solder on the AV pins as well, and nothing.  I'm completely stumped.  I've tried muiltiple AV cords that work on my SNES, so that's not a factor.  

 

This sounds like a pain to troubleshoot/fix.  I know of some YouTubers who post videos of fixing consoles but I'm not aware of anyone who's had consoles been shipped for repair.  Lot of DIYers here so that might be why.

The one YT I'm thinking of (VideoGameRestoration) is based in Canada .  Gloves know how bad shipping from States to Canada can be.  I don't recommend shipping international for fixing a console.

Best advice I could offer is get a working N64 that is the same motherboard and start comparing resistance and continuity of parts with the working one.  If you got some knowledge and luck you can troubleshoot without a working one.  But having a working one will make things easier for sure.

After looking up some YT videos I think checking the legs of the chips is your next best bet.  I watch two videos where that was the issue.

I've had the forum do some goofy repeat of the image like you are showing.  When I do insert the image it shows like you'd expect it.  Not sure if this just because it's a GIF and is giving you a preview of each frame until it runs out of space.  

So in short, it's not broken but is goofy looking?? 

Is it become a bigger issue or less of an issue.  Have you recently been fooled into buying a repro online?

I know we have a decent amount of southwest Ohio members so I have a big request.  I'm a bit of a closeted bicycle and pedestrian advocate and ODOT recently made a website to ask for the public feedback on biking, walking, and rolling (strollers) in the SW region of Ohio.  Could you guys please provide feed back on where you want to bike and walk, it'll take like 5mins to drop some pins on the map.  Lastly, can you share the website with your social media networks.  Most of you have families and kids so I know you have some kind of FB groups that would love to provide an opinion on this topic.  This is the one time we want the Karens to come out and complain to the manager.

That explains the eBay listing having "Not For Resale" instead of a bar code. @MegaMan52 Show us your bottom of your helmet statue and the light up eyes if it lights up.  Actually, looks like you have the Helghast Edition and not the "Limited Heghast Edition" so it shouldn't light up

If you look, it says the eyes have LED lights.  Also on the eBay listing they say only 1,000 of this edition was made.  eBay: Killzone 3 LIMITED Helghast Edition Eyes Glow SEALED Collectors *RARE* 1000 Made  I don't got no Helghast money.  My broke ass got ISA money so I'm going mod the non LED one I got for like $15 and do my own bad ass lighting.  Also I would LOVE to put like a Raspberry Pi in it with a speaker and motion sensor and have it go through the Helghast voices randomly

Before anyone asks, I have tried EA help multiple times with nothing ever coming of it.  Both my PSN and EA accounts have been open since like 2007.

I recommend stalking finding someone who works at EA.  Go to LinkedIn and find who works at EA.  Find a good person who can likely help you out and then find their social media account like Twitter.  Be VERY nice and open about your request and see if they can just get you in touch with a good person to fix your issue.  I'd recommend someone a little high up in the Customer Relationship/Outreach or some other fancy term for customer support.  That person can assign you to someone below them and if they fail you can let that initial person you contacted know that if didn't get resolved.  Best of luck

Is that the one that helmet lights up the eyes?  I was going to mod my own to light up it's eyes as soon as I figure out how to open the helmet without break it.

Literally anything different (label, format, tm)= variant

different code= different game 

I don't think this works well with later consoles...

Every time they print a new disc the code is updated with the latest patches.

Then there are odd balls like the one GBA game that was release with a game breaking bug and was later fixed.  I think the box and carts didn't even change.

Being an idiot isn't exclusive to an age range.  I deal with the general public from time to time for my job and I'm shock at some idiotic statements I read or hear from the public.  VGS has mods for a reason and it's to deal with people like them.  If you can't play by the rules or constantly play a fool about not knowing why your post are getting the mods involved then you'll get dismissed from the cool club.  I think the general consensus from the mods is to not ban topics/discussion because a few people will cause an issue.  AKA not letting the minority ruin the majority of member's discussion on the forum.  

If some people can't bite their tongue and avoid saying shit that will get them banned then all the better.  I'm not a mod so I don't have to worry about such work .  Sounds like AtariAge is lazy and doesn't want to deal with actually moderating things so they close all discussion down.  I appreciate VGS allowing adult discussions to take place.  It's not like the forum rules are that strict, just don't be a giant asshole.  I know that is subjective but I'm sure the mods will help you understand when you cross that line or in the grey zone.  If a topic brings out the ass in you then maybe self regulate and avoid those topics

Astro first came to be with a PSVR a game Astro Bot Rescue Mission (2018).  PSVR was released in 2016 so it wasn't released with the console but has been a huge hit ever since the game released.  I absolutely feel in love with character(s) as they are so cute with their behavior or moments.

When the PS5 came out, Astro's Playroom (2020) was the free game that was pre-installed on the console and kind of a fun tech demo for all the features of the new haptic feedback controller and new graphic capability.  Also it did an AMAZING job paying homage to the history of PlayStation with a ridiculous amount of hidden easter eggs.  Basically it became the "mascot" for PlayStation for the PS5 era.  For me it's the mascot for PlayStation VR and I can't wait till they make the next game.

One of my greatest joys and pride was making a stream break video where I had to change the speed of the Astro Bot gifs to time up with the beat of the song.

July's haul was pretty big, 12 titles added to my total including a new PSVR released game.
