  1. You don't know that, and you also don't know that I knew it could be as expensive as you say it is. Hard to fathom six figures. We've interacted maybe once or twice on here before this, you don't know me at all. So maybe just don't presume the worst next time.
  2. I don't appreciate the assumption of disingenuousness. I don't know anything about this cart, I had never seen an SMB demo before, and I knew that the first edition of the European Version of SMB was a 5 screw, so I assumed a demo would have 5 screws because it presumably came before the first edition. I didn't know, so I asked the experts. Simple. I did keep the owner close to the vest because I didn't know anything about it and didn't want someone on here to swoop in before I could offer. I collect international variants of SMB, and this would be a great addition to the collection. Sorry if I broke collector protocol somehow, I honestly didn't mean to.
  3. Most of the European versions are 3 screws though.
  4. Someone online has this cart, says it's a press or demo release of the European Version of Super Mario Bros. Anybody ever seen one of these? Does it even make sense?
  5. This was an impulse buy that I already regret, but it is actually pretty cool. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm a Ninja Gaiden nut. Saw this and thought I had to have it. Wish I had just jerked off or slept on it or something because it seems ridiculous now lol.
  6. Next up: realizing how ridiculous collecting is. Then you'll be like a completely new person!
  7. You've probably already seen this, but I know you've been looking for this for a long time: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275757689354
  8. @Kazuya the one Phleo references in your original post has an next to the oval seal. Yours is the regular oval .
  9. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134383804312 I've seen a few 5 screw test carts pop up on eBay in the past few months and I'm wondering if anybody here knows if they're legit. It's easy to fake one, the label quality even on real ones is always shitty. All the test carts I had seen before, both grey and yellow, were 3 screw. Label on this one says (C) 1990, but it's possible the 5 screw yellow shell was made years before. Anybody know about these?
  10. So many. The last 15+ hour game I revisited and played all the way through again was Okami HD. I might even play it again someday, so it misses this list. Breath of the Wild, in fact all the 3D Zeldas I'll never play again. Bloodborne Red Dead Redemption Mass Effect trilogy GTA 4 and 5 Witcher 3 Dark Souls Ys 7, Memories of Celceta, 8 All the Ratchet and Clank games. These aren't long games, I'll just never play them again even though I love them. Castlevania Lords of Shadow. Same. Sekiro Batman Arkham games
  11. #1 Ninja Gaiden Black - Easily my favorite. It's the game I've put the most hours into by many multiples. I'd estimate around 3000 hours. Still might be best action game ever. My avatar is Ryu Hayabusa with a Jinjo head. I also make Ninja Gaiden memes and post them on Instagram @Hayabusavillageidiot. #2 Bayonetta - Easily my second favorite, and the 2nd most hours of any game I've put into any game, probably around 500-600. Has the best gameplay of any game ever made, the weapons are amazing, the Sai Fung is my favorite weapon in any game, and the music is top notch. Platinum at their best. 2 was good not great, and I've only played a couple chapters of 3. it didn't hook me, but I haven't formed an opinion on it yet. #3 Mega Man 10 - If #1 and 2 are easy, then #3 had to be some kind of Mega Man game, and I'll go with 10. 9 has better music and charm, but 10 has better weapons and was more fun to 100%. And yes, that's me bragging. I Mr. Perfected 9 and 10 on normal mode. Right now I'm playing a lot of Mega Man 4 Voyage, which is fantastic, but it's not quite on the level of 9 and 10 for me. Had a hard time thinking of definitive answers for 4 and five, but... #4 Tecmo Super Bowl - Great game all around, probably the NES game I've put the most hours into. This game provided me my single greatest moment in gaming. Long story short, I ran a last second kickoff back for a touchdown to win the Super Bowl over the 49ers. You don't believe me. I know. No one ever does. But it happened and it was awesome. #5 is honestly probably Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, but that's boring because I've already got a Ninja Gaiden game on here, so I'll go with... #5 Super Mario Bros - The only game I will ever try to speedrun. I play it at least weekly, working toward eventually trying to beat it in under 5 minutes. I could probably do it right now if I just dedicated a week or so to grinding for it.
  12. Divingninja having one TM and one R TMNT 5 screw has inspired me, and I'm looking for a few pointless one-to-one trades out of the goodness of your hearts... Would anyone with a Super C 5 screw with an R seal be willing to trade for one that has a TM seal? Anyone with a Donkey Kong Jr. 3 screw System TM want to trade for one that has System R? Anyone with a TMNT 5 screw with a TM seal want to trade for one that has an R seal? Here's the pics of the ones I have for trade: https://imgur.com/a/VYPaj35
  13. You're right, that is the way the world works, but I also think NES variants are legitimately next in line for absurd price jumps. First it was NWC, SE and Little Samson, then prices went up across the board, then it was sticker seal Marios, then it was sealed everything. Feel like I'm missing something in that list, but I think variants are next until literally everything rare or interesting about the NES has been priced out. 5 figures for 5 screw Mega Man is not surprising to me honestly. Edit: remembered what was missing on that list. Prototypes.
  14. Like @NESCollector15 I found a 3 screw Qbert R seal on ebay last week: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304713669576 I'm usually not into minor variants like trademarks and MIJs, but I wanted to snatch this one up because, like NESCollector's, it's got no back label and therefore seems related to the Konami-Ultra 5 screws, which are looking more like refurbs. Besides it having no back label, it's interesting that mine and NESCollector's have all the exact same codes and dates on every chip. The PRG is from the last week of 1988, while the (R) oval seal suggests the label is from March 1990 or later. Pretty interesting. Also, once I got mine in the mail I noticed it has a double label.

  16. Mega Man 3 or Tecmo Super Bowl, can't decide.
