I'm looking forward to Adventure Island, Super Mario Bros and Tetris. Mappy is a good choice as well.
Karate Champ??
Yes.
You gotta karate people up for beat'em up points this year.

It could happen. In 9 years we kinda got close on SNES. Might only take us 15 this time.
One day, perhaps.

The Star Force week was just too much fun. I was having a blast.
I think I should bring it back this year.- 1

That's fantastic, Bea. Very happy for you. So will this be an annual event?
Next one will happen in March.
I will do it once every two months and bring it to other cities too. Till we get women playing FGs comfortably and being respected by their local scene.

Adventure Island is a bit too easy to be a contest game. Only option is to play 1 life only.

Will there be a trophy cart for most handsome?
There will be, yes.
And it will go unclaimed because you all are uglier than Godzilla fighting King Kong.- 1

Treta Championship and I are hosting a Street Fighter V tournament aimed to introduce fighting games to women and help strengthen the female fighting games scene in the country;
The Fight Like a Girl tournament will an offline tournament hosted in Curitiba, Brazil and will take place on January 25th. There will be prize money and trophies for the top 3.
Women of all skill levels around the city have been invited to participate. With luck, we will have some off state players too.It will be streamed live at Treta's twitch channel. I will be helping run the tournament and commentating the matches:

I have simple goals for the start of this new decade.
Help with the growth of the female Fighting games esports scene here in Brazil, for which I already took the first step by helping organize a women's only SFV tournament that will take place on the 25th of January:Become a more relevant Street Fighter player till a younger woman achieve my skill level and take over.
Never look at any kind of software development ever again
Get back to travel abroad. There are so many places in the world I need to see.
Remain able to lift over my head and throw objects and men up to 150~180 pounds of weight
Maybe find a nice woman my age and settle down.
Adopt two kids in 2030.- 5

I have been playing a whole lot of Street Fighter 5 in my quest to git gud.
I am consistently getting top 8s at my locals. Next I have to get top 3s consistently. -
This port is a technical marvel, but overall it was a pretty terrible port of the best Alpha series game.
It is playable, but the balance isn't arcade perfect. Fun for some casual playing time.

Can I make one request?
next year maybe the final week doesn’t fall on thanksgiving
We weren't planning on that to happen this year, but the forum thing mess screwed up our timing.
I will make sure that the final week doesn't happen on Thanksgiving next year.

Glad to see my score just barely held up, but I shouldn't get 1st and 2nd place.
Fixed that.

Congratulations to @bertsampson for being the very first VGS Weekly Contest champion!
And for @Tablew/chairs for putting such a valiant attempt and ending up 2nd.
@skinnygrinny ends up with a worthy 3rd place after all his hard work through the year.Thank you all for participating and for sticking around after the turbulent times we had right before the tournament.
And a very special thanks to my pal @guillavoie for practically running the tournament on his own as life got really complicated on my end the last few weeks. We will be back for 2020 with more weekly gaming goodness to entertain you all through the year.
You're all the best!- 2
