Welcome ladies and gentlemen! This week, we tackle an infamous game on the NES library, Silver Surfer! The rules for this not so challenging SHMUP are pretty straight forward: Pick any world order you want Play till you lose your first life Pause the game when you lose your first life and take your picture If you beat the game, take your picture at the end boss and at the high score screen Highest score wins Genre: Shoot 'em Up The contest ends Sunday, 07/31/22 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. The rules state that you should play till you lose your last character. The tie-breaker was for those who beat the game. Anyway, we had a 4 way 3rd place tie, so all took 10 points home

We ain't doing no speedrun thing on this one this time. The tie break rules are now well defined.

Updated the rules to add a tier breaker.

We can do progress + lowest time. Then you just need a picture of the game and of a timer to show how much time you took to beat it.

BTW, if needed, this can become a speedrun contest if you guys feel it is more fit.
