The trailer was actually better than I expected. Ryan Reynolds stars as a guy who realizes he's an NPC of a video game. The trailers gives off a LEGO Movie & Deadpool vibe:

 

After watching the trailer, I couldn't help but think of those Playstation commercials Sony loves putting out:

That didn't do it for me at first, but that's a good trailer.  I got more into it as it went along until it clicked.  I want to see that.  You're right, it has the whole Lego movie Emmett vibe where you realize there's more to what's going on and that you can impact it as the nobody in that environment.  Both cogs in the larger machine of lego, video game, and then doing your own form of damage once the reality hits.

i heard about the trailer and it didn't do much for me, but once i watched it, i think i'm gonna have to see this. looks fun.

They say the User lives outside the net, and inputs games for pleasure.  No one knows for sure, but I intend to find out.
