Andy_Bogomil | 815
I think Contra 3 has a great difficulty setting although may still be tough on 'Easy' for some since you still die in one hit. But 'hard' is fair when you get really good at the game which is the way it should be (it essentially speeds up the game and gives the bosses more energy). Star Wars games are a good example of poor difficulty settings. The 'normal/brave' setting is really tough even when you're not bad at the game and know where to find health upgrades and blaster power-ups. The 'Jedi' setting is just brutal, especially on Empire Strikes Back. One of the hardest games on SNES from my experience. There are stages that I think are pretty much unbeatable if you lose you blaster power-up. It's also a long game. Star Wars games were definitely ones I used to play on Easy almost exclusively to actually enjoy the game.
themisfit138 | 523
I play all my classic games on default. I have noticed on this generation of games default is usually a cake walk. The Outer Worlds on default is almost a walking simulator, as are Skyrim and Fallout.
