I've played around with Splatterhouse 2 a little bit here and there but haven't committed to trying to beat it yet. Thus, I haven't seen every stage and don't know if I'm qualified to rate it. That said, I'm a big, big fan of the original Splatterhouse and I have beaten that game (as well as Wanpaku Graffiti) and, for as simple as it is, it's a pretty good time. The original gets an 8/10 and everything I've experienced about 2 leads me to think it will rank similarly.

Yeah, this is a good game! I'm in the same boat as @Webhead123 in that I have played through about half the levels and put a few hours into it, but I haven't gone back to properly finish it off yet. But, what I have played was really fun, and the graphics are absolutely gorgeously gory, it's definitely a game I am going to swing back around to and finish at some point, if I can!

I like it. Sort of formulaic, almost zen, in how you more or less play it the same way every time. A perfect game is machine-like, a meditation of sorts, and in some cases it doesn't work for me if a game is that way, but here it does work. I'd say get it if you want to see some slashing, bashing, and plenty of gore.
