  1. There is always the reverse - some one comes home to their now non-existent home - which has been demolished by mistake.
  2. Oops. https://news.yahoo.com/california-woman-bought-vacant-lot-175640970.html. While the woman is being kinda weird about this "special" lot right next to another one a simple exchange is not a good answer. The company that build the house is totally in the wrong. They need to offer a pot of cash in addition to the lot exchange - what that amount is I don't know. But tearing down a new house is really stupid.
  3. Heh - reminds me of this game box with Saddam on it: Third World War is actually a very good game - wouldn't guess it with that really strange cover.
  4. Left over evidence from the crime..... https://news.yahoo.com/centuries-old-bottles-cherries-unearthed-124950245.html
  5. That is Benito Mussolini. Looks like it is a boot of this game: On this cover it looks like Patton, Rommel and Montgomery Since Hitler is so prominent on the cover I guess you could say the game was jerry-rigged
  6. You get the physical on sale at Deep Discount for $42.37 (with the discount code TOYS).
  7. From about 1917-1926 some young women who worked in watch/clock factories would later die a miserable death due to radiation poisoning. Their job involved painting clock and watch dials with radium paint. To get better detail they would frequently moisten the tips of the delicate paint brushes in their mouths. In addition many would take paint home and decorate their bodies with it to amuse their boyfriends, They became collectively known as the radium girls. The dangers with radiation really weren't understood - even the eminent researcher Madame Curie would die from radiation induced leukemia.
  8. If you haven't seen it you might like Jabberwocky. Not in the same class as Holy Grail but it has its moments.
  9. There is no physical for this but the download is on sale for $4 at the e-shop and the DLC is $7.50.
  10. Furries go home! https://news.yahoo.com/students-walk-utah-middle-school-033744703.html
  11. It could well have been someone just puliing someone's chain and they took it seriously and passed it on. I doubt it was some foreign actor as it is too easily disproved.
  12. Snopes has been improving its image as of late - they now cover stuff on a much wider spectrum than they used to. They covered this recent fabricated malign bit of ''history": https://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-posts-claim-saying-155000707.html
  13. Kind of a drag when your baby don't love you..... https://video.storyful.com/record/31349
  14. Here is some interesting speculation about a switch release: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/first-nintendo-switch-2-game-104643599.html
  15. Some people are just morally bankrupt. This smacks of Holocaust revisionism.
  16. https://www.actionnews5.com/2024/04/16/man-with-5-foot-snake-attempts-rob-store-three-times-police-say/
  17. The first picture is of Laure - who can become a powerful sniper if you work with her. The second picture is a boring cut scene when two units fight. Fortunately you can shut those off.
  18. For me the most important thing is gameplay. The switch has really opened up a wealth of SRPGs - a genre that has until now been sadly neglected - previous to the switch my favorite era was the PS1 - but the switch games tend to blow those out of the water. Another one of my faves is Banner of the Maid - no physical release though. It is kinda like an updated and improved Shining Force II.
  19. I have been playing it and it really isn't. It has a lot of depth and you customize your formations by which type of characters you put in each formation. It is partially real time and each round of combat only lasts 2 rounds - although you pretty much instantly re-enter combat. Normally these are things I don't like - but in this game it is oddly compelling. Lots of characters with different abilities to recruit and tons of weapons/accessories to use. It does suck up a lot of time though. If you can get into it it is a lot of fun.
  20. The "fascination" (I prefer the term interest) lies not in the fact that this crime occurred but that it was preventable. Anyone seriously examine this clown's history should have been able to predict what was likely to (and in fact did) happen. You are way overblowing the intent here - it is basically a way to look at a trend (albeit a disturbing one) that is occurring, There have been several reports of women being punched in the face by total strangers for no apparent reason. This is 'everything else" and in a thread devoted to crime and punishment. I don't where else it should go - unless you want to play nohearum (a relative of the infamous noseeum bug). Although sweeping these things under the rug will likely come back to bite someone.
  21. Hmmm - a modern day packrat - she traded something for the knife she took..... https://news.yahoo.com/woman-broke-centre-county-garage-153147809.html
