  1. Just to add a recent data point, I paid $415 for a legitimate loose Recca a few months ago from Retro Taku in Detroit. I also bought Spriggan, Crisis Force and a few other games from them (Apparently a major collector in the area passed, and the collection ended up being traded in there).
  2. On the new releases front I know Byteswap Labs is partnering with Piko Interactive to complete Dragon Sword and release it on N64. Right now they're targeting a 2024 release.
  3. I'm interested in grabbing some of these, I'll send a PM
  4. I'm relatively new to the prototype collecting game, but I'm eager to participate. I've already publicly released a few of the undumped protos I've found through the Forest of Illusion but have a few others that I haven't passed along just yet, as well as a few that are already dumped and out there. Famicom: Captain Silver (undumped, but my copy has issues. Need to try to dump the eproms directly, but that is out of my wheelhouse) Daisenryaku (undumped, hexdump does differ from release) Dengeki Big Bang! (aka Clash at Demonhead) (already out there) Fighting Golf (undumped, hexdump does differ from release) Hottāman no Chitei Tanken (already out there) Okkotoshi Puzzle - Tonjan! (dumped! https://forestillusion.com/2022/okkotoshi-puzzle-tonjan-japan-prototype) Twinbee (already out there) Game Boy: Altered Space - A 3-D Alien Adventure (dumped! https://forestillusion.com/2022/altered-space-a-3-d-alien-adventure-usa-prototype) Super Famicom: Devil's Course (already out there) Super Nintendo: NCAA Basketball (already out there)
  5. You can see a few of the others up on ebay now: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=snes+majesco+white+label&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=contra+iii+snes+white+label&_osacat=0
  6. Yeah the Contra and TMNT are definitely just crappy late in life retail Majesco carts. I actually have the Contra III one. Mine is supposedly "factory sealed" which means it's in a little clear baggie with some tape (no idea if that's true, but I've left it 'sealed').
  7. I'm very jealous of the find! I'm probably not going to be any help verifying them, but I'd love to play with the ROMS if you choose to release them! I've recently started collecting a handful of famicom protos / sample carts. I haven't found anything too exciting yet though. Very surprised you were able to find them on instagram!
  8. Just to add a data point I bought a copy of this just a week ago. I had never seen an SEI cart before so it caught my eye. I haven't cleaned it up yet, but mine has the ugly metallic silver void residue on the back so I think it must've been a former rental. Oh and mine is the color label SEI cart.
  9. I have a few NES games that are in cut retail boxes (missing the top, bottom, and right side) and are then inserted into a plastic case. Not quite as good as having something CIB, but for a game like Battletoads vs Double Dragon, I'm happy to have any box at all! Anyway, my issue is that the rental boxes are ugly, the clear plastic sleeve part has started to peel and discolor. I was wondering if anyone knew of a viable replacement case to use for these mostly boxed nes games? I can add pictures later if that would make things clearer. EDIT: Bitboxes might be an option, but I'm worried the corners are a bit too rounded
