  1. Thanks for info on the servo emulator. I am going to try the rgb version tap with a nes multiout and then snes retrovision cables.
  2. Does anyone have any experience with the virtual tap ? (Virtual boy consolizer) the mod itself doesn’t appear to difficult. But my main question would be between the vga version or rgb version, i still have an older Sony flat screen with a vga, so vga option is good. but I prefer to use my Sony crt for the “retro” consoles. Can I just use the sega hd retrovision cable if I install the rgb version with a din9 ? I don’t have any of those upscaler devices. Just want to connect it right up to my tv component input via retrovison cables. And if I can, how is the picture ? Look good ? 2nd question would be .. about the servo emulator, if the units eyes and motor are working do you need that ? Those are the main questions, any other suggestions on “no cut mods”, other 3d printed shells or just leave it in the original shell .. would be appreciated as well.
  3. Do you have the listing number or a direct link? But ...from this picture that is definitely mismatched that is Prime 1 manual with Prime 2 game disc.
  4. I was in this similar situation, now I ultimately got a sfc. But If sfc games aren’t a huge priority, like you only have a few you want to play. Instead of buying a cheap extender, cutting up your snes or a pricey new tray. I just bought a $1 madden game and cart swapped the boards when I wanted to play a sfc game. You’ll need a security bit which you can find dozens on eBay or wherever. Pretty much cost $5 total Included the madden game. Yeah you have to unscrew the carts and put them back together, when your finished but this was the cheapest and easiest solution I used.
  5. If you want the “best” model I’d suggest Definitely go with the heavy sixxer, even with RF it looks decent, I Av modded mine and it looks great !! Relative easy mod as well, I think it’s like 3 wires, should be able to get the ready made boards cheap still. Although the Vader one is definitely cool looking the heavy sixxer is OG Atari king. I have an av modded 7800 as well and to me, the 2600 games just don’t look all that good, maybe because I’m used to my heavy sixxer
  6. Man, that 5200 screams 80s awesomeness !!! Freaking great add to your collection !!!!
  7. The iron and pillow case works great on cardboard boxes (nes, gameboy etc) how ever I’ve not really had any luck on the paper cover type stuff, example sega saturn rear art. Those can get wavy and while it works a bit that paper just doesn’t iron out nice and flat like the cardboard does. The comic book store press is an interesting idea. I’d like to know how that turns out.
  8. One difference between The “over the hand” bros mario 3 and the “right” is the names of the levels are all changed. Pretty sure there are some other minor differences as well. And one I didn’t find out about until years later is Faxanadu the later revision fixed the type set from that terrible italic so you can actually read what people are saying.
  9. elmers purple stick has always works really good for me https://www.amazon.com/Elmers-Disappearing-Purple-School-E562/dp/B00143SNPG
  10. Here is my 5 screw punchout orange bullets with PT back is stamped 19 and A on Rev-a sticker Flat head regular screws
  11. If this turns out to be legit, it certainly would be an incredible find. Haha like hybrid said this unicorn is of legendary tale. Interesting it has the “nes” on the chips as well on a famicom board. I’m under the impression the famicom punchouts should have hvc on the chips. Maybe someone can also decode the date on the chips as well ? Definitely excited to see this !! ** Bootgod shows NES on the famicom roms as well. Dang Nesplay might just be the find of year !!
  12. Here they are as 2 separate picts. My retail is water damaged ill have to find a better copy then.
  13. Man that is so awesome. Ive been away busy as a late and what an awesome surprise to see something like this has been discovered. Yep that is exactly the same font and everything. Ill post mine side by side with the retail version. the big difference i can tell of the 2 is the Quality of the print. Mine is not as sharp as the retail and picts look just a little blurry, however the paper is the very same as every gamecube cover i have ever handled. However the only other difference i can tell is that it the entire cover is shifted down just a wee tiny bit. It is a little more obvious on Metroid because you can see Samus's foot and there is less on mine then the retail. The sunshine one appears to that way as well with just a little bit less area under the Nintendo logo on the bottom right of the front cover. Still not sure where in the world these came from but some kind of a review copy or E3 preview is very possible.
  14. Yeah the UPC codes are the same on the black spine Version and regular version. im thinking the “game store pre-Release box is the best explanation
  15. With Gamecube stuff picking up. I thought i would resurrect my thread from the flames of nintendoage. https://connect.gocollect.com/discussion/comment/3164231#Comment_3164231 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Found this a while ago and knew something just wasnt right. The Spine is completely different from all the other ones i have seen. (Standard version is on the right) It doesnt seem to be a reproduction, the paper quality is the same as all other gamecube games. Im thinking it must be a later release as well. The picture quality on the back seems to be a little fuzzy. As far as i can tell the manaul and disc all have the same markings as the normal one. Has any one seen or have another like this? any ideas if it was a later release or a pack in ? I dont see a "not for resale" anywhere. (Higher quality image attached below the imbedded image) .. uploaded higher Quality Image >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I had gotten a few comments about it, and nothing really definitive until a user "nikkums" said he found one as well. (not sure if he is on here or not) but was just wondering if any one else has found one and wondering if we could track down when or what this was released with.

    Famicom disk system

ahhh ... I Just Got one last week in working order. Thank you tho.
  17. Totally, Im thinking 100% of the ultra/Konami games I’ve found that has the 24 On the back has the Konami version board inside.
  18. Wondering if anyone has a famicom disk system they are looking to part with. all I really need is the drive itself in working order (preferred with a recent belt change) if not definitely has to be in working order. Still interested if also has ram, ac or CIB. please let me know, maybe we can work a deal out
  19. Ahhh ok a Best Buy exclusive. Good thinking ... Your theory that there would be thinner wrap around the box seems very plausible. Mine and every outer box I’ve seen online has the MM09 on the bar code. Most are poor quality pix tho ... I wonder if there is also an outer box with BB03 ? And the MM09 inner boxes would maybe be a later non exclusive Best Buy version? The BB03 inner box that I did get is definitely not a wrap around .. so there could potentially be 2 variants of that. 1 full printed with sticker and 1 wrap around insert. as far as the big box game, i have never seen that with this set, in any of the pix online and I wouldn’t think it would because with that extra controller, there just doesn’t seem like there would be enough room in the outer box for it to fit.
  20. I have a 2 part question about this set ... if any one can help would be appreciated. When i got it the seller said it should be all there. I had never seen it before, it was pretty cheap so i grabbed it up. When i got home i took it all out and it appears everything looked good. the Outbox bonus set box, game, mic, extra controller and ... I didnt really think of it but the gamecube system was in a white plain box (that looks exactly like a retail system box) so When I started researching it was only able to find 1 listing on ebay at the time, and to my surprise the listing had a gamecube retail box with it, with a sticker over the bar code that said Part of "Dol S BB03 bundle" so i was like well ok .. ill keep an eye out on ebay for a retail box with that sticker on the back ... one came up, i got it, i was happy. So just for the heck of it ... i started looking the bundle up again and noticed that on the listings now, it came with a retail but the bar code says Part of (Dol S MM09) and that matches the bar code on the outer box, so the retail box i just got is definitely not the right box ... so my questions are ... 1. Does any one have this bundle with the plain white inner box ?? the dimensions are exactly the same as a system retail box but there there are no identifying numbers or marking any where. Ill attached some pictures for reference. which even if plain white, i would think Nintendo would have but a stamp with numbers or something on it somewhere but maybe not, maybe this was a later release of the bundle and they ran out of boxes ?? Could it have been a resale shop, like gamestop or something that got it in a trade and just had a generic box laying around ? 2. what would the Dol BB03 bundle" box be part of ... i couldnt find anything about that bundle set.
  21. If / When anyone is ready to get rid of their Nice copy Panzer Dragoon Saga, im definitely interested, maybe we can work some thing out?
