    Check this out. I picked this up today. I know the chances are low that this is legitimate but I wanted to get it anyways because it's either a really good label transfer which usually easy to spot, a reproduction label, or some bizarre error that is legitimate.

    I tried finding some label reproductions and was able to find some on etsy.. but they are different and very easy to tell that it's a reproduction. I've included that picture for comparison. This label also has the numbers stamped on the front. I've never seen that reproduced but I suppose it could be. Have you guys seen the stamped numbers reproduced? That's why I was thinking someone just took the label off the gameboy color black cartridge and put it on the gray cart. That would be a very weird thing to do and also you can usually tell that someone did this because the process is not easy/perfect.

    I'll have to wait until it show up to check the board. Is any one familiar with the rom differences between the US gray release of bomberman gb, the US black of bomberman pocket , and the eur gray and black release  of bomberman pocket?

    I wasnt including double labels.  I do have the NHL 95 & Race Drivin though - missing Pitfighter.

    Currently am 17 away on the complete CHN set as well (not FCO yet) - really feels like Im all alone pursuing this over the past few years with very little competition.  Im a sucker for condition, otherwise Id be much closer.  Hopefully will finish it within a few more years.

    I'll check out the rom variant list for sure.  Thanks

    That CHN set was very difficult to find and finish. at times i was just getting to get, with the intention of upgrading later on.  the one of the comes to might is the Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh i got with just the catalog code it took another 3 years before i found one to replace it.

    and for the CHN don't forget about the variants.  and depending how far down the rabbit hole you go you will have to look in the Mani Board variants..

    I won the SML -2.  Only 12 away from completing the variants list on this thread now (not including NFR's - havent gone for those at this point).  Thanks for the collective info over the years guys!!

    very nice on the 12 away.

    Question are you including the 3 double labels?

    As a guilty plug check out the rom variant list.  it's got a lot of interesting things..

  5. Finished Set #10 for the world set. Big help from a few personnel shoppers for finding the last game to make a full set. This was a very difficult set to complete due to the difficult in the shipping and buying process in Brazil game market. This was an 8 year venture.  Now sure how may full sets are out in the wild.  but I HAVE ONE.....

    ok so as i understand what your are saying is that the "corrected" B&T was only available outside the USA and that this was only for the German market....

    humm....... hummm.......  so open the cart and look at Chip date/PCB Code/PCB Date/PCB Factory Code/  your label will be a factory code 22 and i'm guessing the pcb date is between 9109-9110..

    Cool find!

    I think the bill and Ted corrected label also belongs in this discussion you all are having. It was a label with a USA code that was only released in Europe.

    I live pretty close to the border. I wonder if it's worth going over to some game shops.

    ok ill bite.  what on earth are you saying here? Bill and ted had it own release in NOE/UKV/FRG/ and AUS. the fact that the games went to EAU is possible.....

    Basically, I'm only interested in the items that at some point, I could have walked into a licensed, US retailed and picked up the item.

    APAE = English language
    APAJ = Japanese language
    APAS = Spanish language (ESP carts, LTN carts, and JVOSS's carts above)
    APAD = Deutsch? NOE carts use this
    APAF = French language
    APAU = this is what EUR and AUS carts use

    I sorta HOPE this is true because it would make sense, without being "Nintendo was lazy and now we have to collect more rare stuff because of it." But I can't tell if Mexico got pokemon GB games, or what region code they used, and I've been googling for a solid 4 minutes.

    the U was also used for UK.  the one i can't/don't know is the Canada version.  As the official World cart list Canada did not have one.  so maybe they used the French/USA version.  but yes your list did miss one the that is the KOR however this only shows up in the Gold and Silver Versions...

    Pokemon Blue has a inside code that is uselessly reserved for the GBC or after 2000.  the board is clearly a 2000 cart, and a gen 2 i believe.  the board codes have only been seen in the DMG(BLACK)/GBC areas.  and it fits in with the time table.

    i was able to talk with the blue seller and he is from TEXAS. He later said he pickup up in CA and was using it to improve his Spanish.

    I'm going back to the title and original intent (though by all means, you guys catalog and collect what you want.)  The initial list was for USA cartridges.  I know these have USA codes, and might be unique, but to my knowledge Nintendo never released an exclusive Spanish language game in the US.

    That said, the list does have some "fudge" carts too it.  For instance, I just finally got my Raging Fighter -1 cartridge and it shipped from Canada.  As I asked, others seemed to recall getting them from Canada/outside the US, and there are other rare GB variants that fit that bill.

    That said, we have no proof they weren't sold in the US, so IMHO, they count.  But something we can say with great certainty wasn't offered in the US, and makes sense as an item sold outside the US boarder, I'm willing to leave off.  Now, if someone in Texas, Arizona or Southern Florida can tell me that Nintendo did sell games in Spanish, in the US, in regions where there's a very-high concentration of Spanish speaking people back in the late-90s, I'd be willing to listen.

    But with that said, I think it's safe to assume that those these are "-USA" cartridges, they were probably getting lacks with their coding and shipped these straight to Mexico, if they weren't manufactured there to begin with.

    and how do you feel about the 3 double labels that are USA.  If i read you right you would also exclude due to not a true variant or a Canada cart...

    additionally do you feel the same way for the Brazilian USA carts as well??  the are clearly USA carts that have been changed to meet the market they were sold in.
