  1. Lunar Pool Definitely a Dad game and has a lot of replay value.
  2. Sorry, it's been a while. I was thinking of the Harrier. I still stand by the normal gun working well in the ground areas, especially in later leves, though.
  3. This game is fun. I had to use the helicopter to have any chance of shooting the planes down, and mostly used the machine gun in the ground phase to jizz on the targets, especially in the later levels.
  4. There are 60 levels, but the rest is correct. You can get 2 balls in one stage by doing "perfect" play, but that's pretty hard. I'm getting pretty good at it, and am hoping to do a full run tomorrow. Basically you need to accumulate 20+ lives in the first 20 stages and then hope for the best after that. If you don't have that many, may as well reset.
  5. Lunar Pool is definitely a skullf*ck, but I'm getting better at it. The fact you can practice any stage individually is a big help.
  6. How about total # of cities conquered after 20 hours of L'Empereur? I'm sure everyone will LOVE that idea
  7. I'll think about it, but it's really a matter of free time. Plus I suck at most non-nerdy games. Is this the year a Koei game makes the weekly challenge? @BeaIank
  8. Ok, I am starting to understand Lunar Pool. Instead of trying to go apeshit with every shot, just take it easy. Groundbreaking, I know. I'll play through all the stages and then try to put a clean run together.
  9. I'm going to screw around with Lunar Pool. I've tried it a few times before and failed miserably, but I'll give it a concerted effort again
  10. I finally finished up Nobunaga's Ambition. Don't press any button on this screen or the "ending" disappears in an instant! Going to take a break for a few days and maybe try a non-Koei game next.
  11. Glad to see there are still a few games left for me to try I'll keep chugging through the Koei bolus by starting on Nobunaga's Ambition, 50 fiefs, highest difficulty.
  12. Congrats on that! I think it's the NES Koei game that has the hardest learning curve.
  13. Don't you live in Taiwan? Is no bones even an option at anything except the most upscale places? One of my favorite dishes in Hong Kong was roast duck or goose, chopped up by an expert with a massive cleaver that could take your hand off in one slice.
  14. Break Time is tough, but much better than the nightmare that is Championship Pool....
  15. It doesn't matter anyway. Either it's because I'm getting old or I don't really like basketball that much anyway, but this game just keeps pissing on my chest. There's too much going on onscreen, and the flickering isn't helping. So I'm going to give Space Shuttle Project a try instead.
  16. well... the winning conditions do stipulate you're supposed to complete a season. Are you talking about a short season or something else?
  17. Hmm. Well, of course I picked the Bulls... So I'll give it another shot as the Warriors. It's only 26 games for a short season.
  18. Well, I tried playing Tecmo NBA Basketball, and I just cannot comprehend sports games like that. I was down 16-0 and shut it off. Too many people running around and no idea how to control anything (yes I read the manual). I'll screw around with Space Shuttle Project since it sounds pretty nerdy.
  19. Win, Lose, or Draw Nice, easy, and shameless 3 pointer still out there
  20. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Hillsfar is done. I'm surprised this one has 4 pain points, since it's wayyy easier than the 2 remaining AD&D games. I'll take it, though!
  21. Nah, I saw you mentioned that a while ago, so keep jammin on it. I may do one of the MMC1 games, since they are pretty clunky and take a long time.
  22. Yo I got sucked into L'Empereur this week, and did the long slog from Scenario 1 all the way through to the end. I'll start another Koei game in a week or so.
