  1. Oh okay. I see what you mean. Yeah that's random. It's just a lot of resets until you get the right rng. That was annoying to deal with.
  2. Dude.......... You get him to the bottom by punching him with the spinach. That's when you drop the bucket on him lol.
  3. I'm happy with 4th place. I probably could have beat Bert's score though. Only four of us got over 80k.
  4. There probably are effective ways to manipulate him but I couldn't figure it out. Like dropping the bucket on his head while he's at the bottom of the screen is worth 4k but sometimes he cooperates and sometimes he doesn't.
  5. Hey, somehow you avoided getting a puzzle game this time around. I'm surprised we're not playing Puzznic or Pipe Dream or something.
  6. It's really dangerous when Olive's drops land on the bottom of the screen. Bluto and the stupid skulls can easily prevent you from getting to them. Sometimes he just stands there and wastes your time.
  7. And sometimes it's impossible to avoid the stupid skull from following you and dropping on your head.
  8. Good one loop runs in this game seem very rng dependent. You can't keep punching birds in round 3 if you get a bad Bluto pattern and he decides to knock you off the platform. Unless there's some way to manipulate him that I missed. There were a lot of resets.
  9. Okay. I want to know how tables' score is even possible. EDIT: I guess he just went for every possible scoring opportunity and didn't waste any time.
  10. I think that's my final update, page 3. I was lucky to even get that high of a score.
  11. There's like two seconds to get a picture on the game over screen. I recommend pausing and getting a pic on round 3.
  12. I just wish I'd ordered a cart so I wouldn't have to play on emulator, but money was a little tight this month. Usually I buy all the games for the tournament. I hope that the third game is something that I already own.
  13. Update page 3. I just don't want to get a lower score than JamesRobot. No offense.
  14. Remember guys there's a Double Dragon board game to also consider.
  15. The worst bug is the one that triggers a reset to the title screen. Especially annoying when it happens during a contest and you're doing well. (Skip to near the end to see the reset glitch.)
  16. DD1 holds up as a fun game. It's not just childhood nostalgia. It's amazingly playable despite the huge amount of bugginess.
  17. DD1 was one of my first NES games as well. I loved it as a kid. I remember the infamous wall of blocks being as far as I could go. The wall seemed like it had to be near the end of the game, but there's a bit more after that. I also rented DD2 as a kid. I never even reached the platforming bits. I think stage 4 or 5 was as far as I got.
  18. Also, this is not a one life contest, in case you have the same wrong impression that you did in the DK Jr contest.
  19. I love the first two Double Dragons on the NES. They're both great. The second one is a lot more polished and has the two player co-op.
