I gave it a 7 (but that's in no means a slight), but I tend to grade these sort of questions on a curve and if I have 5 or so consoles above it then it's hard for me to justify giving out so many 10's if I make this a 9.
But there's a ton to love here. Library is amazing, hardware is durable, 6 button controller is one of the best ever, and it does rgb out of the box. Even the much maligned sound capabilities are something I enjoy because even thought it isn't good, it's unmistakably Genesis. Just typing this I can hear that throaty base sound that's made during every explosion in every game, and that uniqueness has been completely lost these last few generations.

Well, since my games arrived December 23, today is the fifteenth business day since then and they're still in grading status. I don't have a lot of faith they'll magically be completed by the end of today.
Yeah double that time frame is more realistic, that's been the norm for a while.

Got the boy a ring fit adventure for Christmas. It's closer to legit exercise than I thought it would be.

if things continue on their current trajectory I do think you'll see a pattern of prices drastically increasing for that extra .2 on the grade. Especially after pop reports become released/stable.

yeah 3rd print with a solid label that will magically become a 2nd print after a back swap.

I answered already but Civilization II is another contender for me. I have played/finished that game countless times.

Great question. The game I've logged the most hours on is probably Zelda II, but the game I've actually completed/beat the most is either SMB or Dungeon Explorer.

No trouble so far for me but I haven't been selling much on there recently. I do like that fees are now directly taken out when you're paid as opposed to receiving a monthly bill.

With the GC TP you can pair it with like 4 other cool Zelda games on GC.....
I always knew you were a closet Four Swords fan.

The GCN version of Twilight Princess is way less common than either the Wii version or Wind Waker on GCN. Traditionally this rarity and the desire for people to play it on it's original system would have driven up the price. But, in more recent times of people picking out "Key titles" Wind Waker is the more bonafide "GameCube Zelda" game.
100% agree with this. I do think GCN Twilight Princess picks up at some point if this craziness continues, but you'll find some people will be happy with (and argue for) the Wii version which there are a crap ton of. There is no other version of Wind Waker worth debating. So even if these 'collectors' prefer TP for one reason or another they're going after WW since there's no risk of 'being wrong'.

Ok, I thought that’s what he meant but I wanted to be clear.
On carts, is there an example of what type of wear is ok for a 9.0? Honestly the pictures on the Wata website aren’t very helpful on minor changes.
Is the Box, Cart, and Manual all equally weighted to the Overall score? Do they round up or down? Would an 8.0 Box, 8.5 Manual, and 8.5 Cart be an 8.5 Overall or 8.0 Overall? Sorry, I know I’ve seen this but searching their site I couldn’t locate it.
Thanks for all the information. It’s tough to get an idea for people wanting to get some items graded for the first few times and this is extremely helpful.
They are not equally weighted, which is what I was trying to get at. Box is 50%, cart is 30% and manual is 20% of the score. Now in your example of 8 box and 8.5 cart and manual I believe would result in a 8.5 overall cib but just barely since the grade would be 8.25 and then they'd round up.

Interesting and exactly the type of stuff I’m hoping to learn. Chrono doesn’t have a crease on the inside flap.
Let me just clarify your comment though. Are you saying that a crease on the inner flap automatically knocks it down to a 7.5, or that it would be an 8 and the additional wear would make it a 7.5?
Hopefully that makes sense, but in case it doesn’t in the example below the Rocket Robot on Wheels box is extremely good condition (I would guess/hope a ~9.x range). Would the small crease in the lid mean the highest it could receive is a 7.5, or it would mean the highest it could get is a 9.x?
He was saying that would be additional wear not shown in the first set of pics that would bring it down to a 7.5 (if it was in fact an 8 to begin with). Something else to keep in mind is that the box is 50% of the cib grade. So if in fact this is an 8.0 box you'd need a 9 cart and manual to bring the overall to 8.5

I would have guessed a 7.5 since the wear along the edge of the left flap looks pretty heavy.
Yeah it definitely could be, I almost said 7.5 but thought I'd skew higher and plus I'm not the best at grading through photo's anyways.

I'd be shocked if that box got a 9.2, looks more like the 8.0 neighborhood (aka 'old mint' lol) to me. Maps and other gsi's receive grades but they do not factor into the overall score.

Yeah he's been doing this all over Facebook. One of those guys that shows pics of his games when someone else is posting their pick-up.
"Nice grab, but here's something even harder to find! BTW it's on eBay and it's heading to Heritage."

Man, I expected to see more heavies in this list. Congrats on getting so close. I'm still like 60+ away from the full set.
Yeah not too bad. Shoot me your list when you get a chance, I have a few extras.
Thoughts on getting a console graded?

As BA said it's not, all vga submissions come with plastic around it to guard against scratching during return. Some people leave it on to continue to protect it, and some take it off to display.
I think most consoles actually look great slabbed but you'd really want to be sure that it hasn't been used before submitting it.
