  1. Trying to be unique/standoff perhaps? It was dumb to put CD's in cardboard boxes, at least they finally caught on with Super CD's and just put them in cellophane. Get this. For the 1st wave of games released (orange spine labels), all the CDN releases had modified bilingual boxes and contained a 2nd manual full in french. After this wave of releases, they stopped making bilingual boxes and instead slapped a sticker over the UPS which had a new bar code on the sticker. Also keeping inside the french manuals I believe. Then when TTI took the reigns and started selling games, they kept the UPC barcode sticker for CDN releases and threw in a single page insert that had french instructions on it. Zero consistency, it was like they were always on their toes. Seemed a lot of the time like they were just throwing mud on the wall hoping something stuck.
  2. Mail day. This is an original promotional Bonk display used at an early 90’s CES show.
  3. Thanks man ! Eh, goes either way I find. Mostly Nintendo stuff here, some Turbros on this forum though. A good amount actually, still waiting on Turboage ever since the fall of PCEFX.
  4. Minty boxes ! Awesome Pickup, some of the best games on the console right there. Bonks Adventure even has that sticker on the front of it, really cool variant. The PCEngine controller will work on any Duo, just not the original PCE or AmericanTG16 console. Or if you're fancy it'll even work on the LA PAC unit.
  5. Thanks man ! Took ages for me to finally work out a deal, seller was an awesome collector himself. Sadly just keeping everything in storage right now, plan after we're re-located in our more permanent house is to set back up my collection room. There's a few floating around funny enough ! The kiosks are so flimsy themselves that only the cards survived it seems. I even have a spare set I got on eBay for $200 last year.
  6. Ecstatic to add this to the collection! This is a interactive Turbografx 16 tabletop kiosk that was used at the 90's CES events, was also available for retailers for their storefronts through NEC's mail order. Through sheer luck this piece is also new in box, and is likely the only reason it's survived 30 years. The plastic is extremely brittle, very fragile piece. Will have to be very careful with this one. Looking for more unique Turbografx 16 stuff, please message me any leads, paying finders fee’s too
  7. For anyone curious, this is most likely a pre-release version of John Maddens Football. This particular disc is not pressed, and is missing the games unique ID otherwise it could be a legitimate prototype. Nothing solidifies it's validity besides the older CD-R, and the printed code in the middle. Which I'm not sure the codes meaning. Have a couple of these discs myself which all contain the final game from an ex NEC emplyee. So you could say these are original burnt discs? But can't really solidify its legitimacy, besides myself and a few others seeing these before.
  8. Wait a minute.. are you telling me you haven't memorized every region exclusives game for every console released in every region of the world ??? Let alone not know everything about video games??
  9. It's because there's 4x the amount of games released on the JPN PCEngine than the NA Turbografx 16. If you like the system than the PCEngine library is definitely the way to go, as very very few games were NA exclusive. Darkwing Duck was one of them, forget the rest. Beyond Shadowgate maybe? Besides text heavy games most of the library playable, perfect for shooters.
  10. Oh I didn't know this was you, Ryley Rolls here from the FB pages. Congrats again on your epic purchase
  11. Bonk 3 + manual is worth $500 alone lol. You did very well. Quite uncommon for TurboGrafx 16 games not to work, from the aprox 500+ games I've owned over the years i think I've had two hucards not work. One was chewed up by a dog, and the other was water damaged I think. Like other members have mentioned it's the caps that need fixing on your express. Side note, there's a lot of tray games in this lot. Games that never came with a jewel case. That's great because tray games are the rarest games in the TG-16 library. Stuff like Soldier Blade, Bonks 3, Magical Chase, Tonma ect.. However, you have stuff like Raiden and Sidearms which did come with jewel cases. Kind of sucks they're all missing, however it's better than having them loose.
