  1. In a case like this, does the cellophane add anything to the CIB score? If not, might look fresher without it and the sticker if you ever find a manual and upgrade it eventually. Anyways, awesome box/cart scores. Great one to start with!
  2. I've not seen matching ones. I would find it hard to believe they're out there, because this variant doesn't really seem that rare. There are about 3-4 on eBay and mercari in recent sold listings, and a couple still fs for stupid prices
  3. Can't find this anywhere. And by that, I mean eBay... What's it worth? I really don't know much about guides.
  4. I remember my buddy getting a brand new PS2 just after I got my DreamCast... (Oops...) And I always thought it had some solid releases (graphics and controllers were fine, too). However, the 64 was the most ground-breaking console in my eyes. (And yes, the controller is trash) The PS2 library is just too much. It always seemed like they were just throwing shit out there, trying to see what would stick, whereas Nintendo seemed to know what had staying power. One thing I'll give you is the RPGs
  5. I grade WATA, but like the look of VGA more, and if you're not planning on selling (rn) it would really fall on personal preference (maybe a small cost difference). Also, the one advantage to grading your cheap games is to practice your ability to evaluate good sealed copies. Even though i completely understand what you're saying about it being about 10x the value, it would be hard to see any sealed copies dropping in price, at least.
  6. Also, some of these sellers don't make any sense. I'm looking at one that has about 700 sales of necklaces and bracelets, and all of a sudden they have about 10 sealed games posted. Everyone trying to make a buck off my nostalgia
  7. What the fuck. Not only that, but these eBay shops look legit based on other sales, etc. I wouldn't have any reason (as an unsuspecting buyer) not to trust this person (people?). More reasons to avoid eBay for me, but sealed market is so scarce anyways, idk where I'm gonna get my fix
  8. Same ding in bottom left on back, but no damage on front. Also, seal looks worse on more recent one. If this is the same one, I'm extra confused now.
  9. Yep! It's already graded but I had to send it back for a re-holder
  10. I thought the same thing, but the scuffing really detracted from it. I thought the box would score higher. Buying graded is pricier and you'll get what you want, but it's not as exciting
  11. I don't know if these images will help, but Wata always keeps pre graded pics. Decent resolution. SMB: C=9.8 I=9.0 B=7.5. Zelda 2: C= 9.0 I= 8.0 B=8.0 Zelda had two paint specks on the box and a decent nick on the side. That killed it. SMB was more just minor scuffing. Enough to crush the grade
  12. Bump. Ghost busters manual/metroid manual gone
  13. Wow. Those seals look even better. Sounds like this guy is straight up scamming. People like this need to be called out hard. Time to do a little more research...
  14. Maybe the "retro edition" as they're in keeping with Genesis and SNES/64 style and shape. Pretty cool actually. Would look good on display and appeal to collectors of both retro consoles
  15. I don't know much about sealing things with cellophane, but wouldn't this take a very specific type of expensive machinery? Then again, someone flipping CIB as sealed would probably garner enough profit to make that worth it. Seems to me the video game market numbers are already pretty jacked up. Things like this will make grading almost essential. SMH
  16. It's going to make Ebay shopping even harder... I guess the good thing is VGA (and hopefully WATA?) are being super thorough.
  17. This would make me feel better. Not because I'm going to bid on this, but just for the sake of feeling secure with H-Seam again
  18. Yeah, it's very odd. Just never seen H-Seam like that on a reseal. I guess someone's willing to risk it.
  19. Read his description. If VGA turned this away it has me nervous because I would totally look at this as a legit factory seal. I really hope reseals are not getting this good. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174472006276
  20. Dracula X and NGll guide are gone
