  1. Look at the "requirement" column for this game on the first page of this thread
  2. I found another HKG with the label in slightly better condition than the last one! The first one ... no need to explain The second one is a little off at the bottom And the third one is nearly perfect
  3. Small new arrival in my collection: another Korean Tetris, in a way better shape that the one I had
  4. Thanks again to @Tyree_Cooper I just received the Taiwanese Tetris! I thought it would have been easier to find the missing European ones but it looks like there are not much to sell this days ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  5. Yes that's what I suspected. My childhood Dr. Mario is a "GPS" and I'm sure it has been bought in France! I never understood why they made so much variations for Europe, like EUR, NOE, FAH? I can understand that for an exclusive they can make a FRA (exclusive to France because of a game that is fully in french for example) or ITA, ESP, ... but since there is EUR Tetris, why bother make UKV, FRG, SCN, ...? They have all the same english ROM!
  6. Thanks all for the answers! I have indeed MADE IN CHINA written on the back: I never thought collecting would've been so interesting. I'm glad I found VGS So now I wonder if there are other DMG backplates than those two
  7. Hey @DK & @JVOSS Quick question: does your DMG-104CHN have an imprint in their label? Because I just got one and it has none. I was just wondering if it's the case for every Tetris CHN label PS: My cartridge:
  8. I got 3 new carts! I already had the HKG but it was in poor condition... Big thanks to @Tyree_Cooper for the HKG and CHN
  9. Il faut aussi ouvrir une section "French" alors, qu'on sache qui sont les membres francophones
  10. I don't know how I can have multiple languages on my blog. But yeah, writing my articles in 2 languages would just be too much work. I thought I could share only the main reparations in the future new Repair section with mostly pictures and small details. Anyway, you're right, Google Translate would be sufficient to understand my prose, and if not, there's a lot of pictures I put the link in my signature!
  11. I found out how to read the month from this website, there is a lot of examples so it can be easily deduced. So here are January (left) and December (right): To memorize it, I think of the holes as check-boxes, so the checked out month are the ones that count Thanks, that's a lot of things I didn't know! Especially that GBC games can have different game code depending on the region!! I'm collecting mostly DMG games and don't recall games like that And the game code was clearly written all along on the ROM chip, I feel so stupid no noticing it before Great reading, thanks for sharing
  12. The top of the label is a little bit damaged but yeah overall it's in great condition
  13. I already have a blog, but since it's all in french I don't think it will be interesting to share it here
  14. So I found 3 more, but one 23 et two 05, so the search is still ongoing
  15. Thanks for your reply! I'll check your link as soon as I have some time, it looks like a lot of information
  16. Is there a way to determine the region (and the revision) of a GBC game by looking at its PCB? Edit: Answered by @AdamW: It's clearly written on the ROM chip And since "AHYP" is a code specific to Europe, this game is a "CGB-AHYP-EUR-1"! I just got Super Mario Deluxe without label, and I'd like to know it's ID. It is "CGB-AHYE-USA"? "CGB-AHYE-USA-1"? "CGB-AHYE-EUR"? "CGB-AHYE-EUR1"? ... There is the following info on the PCB, does someone knows what each info means? MM1134A ▶ Linked to U4 CR1616 ▶ Battery type DMG-A06-01 ▶ Board type '00 ▶ Year of production One dot near 12 ▶ Month of production: November Pics:
  17. A thread regrouping all the multicarts would be super interesting! I don't collect them but I got some, here are mines:
  18. Thanks all I've read the synopsis and yeah it looks like a lot of fun. It's in my watch list!
  19. I thought I'll be waiting for the section to be up to share the cleaning process but since it can take some time (no worries, it already is nice that this idea is taken into account, no hurry here ), I might create a thread elsewhere in the meantime. Where I live there is still plenty of homes running on "oil-fired furnace". And with the strength of the smell and the rainbow reflections on the water after cleaning it, I think there were submerged in something containing a lot of "petroleum product", and I don't think a working pump will not leak that much. It has already been done ! I'll create a dedicated thread (when I have the time) so we can talk more about it, or about home heating systems it's also an interesting subject
  20. Me neither, the worst part is that I have 2 of them in the same condition! I don't know what appended, I got them this way, but since they smell a lot like gazoline, I imagine that they where retrieved from a flooded home that had a fuel oil tank (not sure about the English world, in French it's called "fioul", and it's used to power up old homes heating system)
  21. I've just finished repairing a NES I didn't think would've worked again. I'm so happy that it still works I'd like to share this
  22. @FireHazard51 I like the subsections you're proposing I think it's better to leave the hackers and the modders in 2 different sections, it's very different to physically mod a console/game and programmatically hack a game/console! I'm also thinking about the main goal of a topic, I see 3 possibilities: showing off something, asking for help or making a Tuto. But I don't know if this can be used to arrange the sections / subsections
