    Necro bump

Anyone use the retrotink 5x pro and if so are you super satisfied?

    @Deadeye has the 5x?

I would like to invest in something i can possibly use to stream/play normally on my tv as i never received my ultra hdmi mod from the brothers who were displaced by a tornado........

Any thoughts etc. would be much appreciated before I pull the trigger on a $305 toy that I don't have to have, but would like!

    Worth it.

There is a 4K model in the works, but no idea when it comes out, what new features it will have, or cost.

  2. @zxdplaywelcome to VGS and happy to see you found us.  Like many, I am a fan of the game, play it often, and wish you the best of luck.  NFTs are not something I am interested in, but based on the thread, you seem have to made up your mind, so I am not going to try to talk you out of it.

I will only echo what some of the staff and others said, if you are interested in going a publishing route for your first game or sequels you development, we are willing to talk or help you find connections to do so.

  3. Do you hate socks always or just not when wearing shoes?  I don't mind socks, however wearing closed toe shoes without socks yuck.  I generally am only wearing socks with shoes or if it is winter.

Also wearing shoes in your home, is not something I can understand.

Isn't the hardware itself (inside, minus the screen) basically the exact same hardware that they used for the Super NT and Mega NT, if not the NT Mini as well?

I can answer in broad terms, it is above my head, but basically the difference is the type of FPGA in it as well as it having two instead on one. The model (type?) of FPGA will determine what it can and cant do.  They essentially have a max capacity (logic elements).

  5. @G-typeNice!  Bummer I didn't get to see your show, but great it was so popular that it reached capacity!  Pinball at MagFest is awesome.

Here are snippets of what I did over the festival

Of course have to take the I am here photo:

Stopped by and checked out the Homebrew area and play some games:
First up was Guntner! Here is a photo of the dev next to their sick poster standee

Next played Onyx the Fortuitous and Courier by @KHAN Gamesand @Peek-A-Brews!

Played Hara Force (sequel to Haradius Zero, but now a vertical shooter), @neodolphinowill releasing the NES version in a few days.

Stopped and toured the Indie Show floor:
Played Gunhawk, homebrew under developed by the same dev that did Fire and Rescue (Skyboy Games)

    Switch 'n' Shoot

    and Line Wobbler

Had to checkout the awesome arcade room as well:

    Checked out some panels:

    Crazy Japanese Video Game Commercials

    Video Game History Foundation Archives
Here is a video of a Macho Man Outtake
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cpJeygGMKoARNSt6LW9iKK9f-9SFk-Gb/view?usp=sharing

Also went to panels on Cyberpunk in Japanese Media, Comedy Q&A, and City Pop

@DeadeyeBy firmware, do you mean what they list under OS? If so, I tried it with v2.00 and 2.13. Neither worked. I also tried recording some gameplay footage. Don't get distracted by terrible performance though.

Yep referring to the OS.  Weird bug.  I was going to suggest posting on Krikzz's forum, but I saw you did. If you don't get a response, Krikzz will sometimes respond on Twitter about hardware issues.
