  1. Wow so this is shaping up to be a 8 way tie probably? Traditionally points are split in full ties, the point sum of top 8 is 63, so are we looking at 8 pts for a max score? It seems oddly fair And what if more than 8 people max it, would you still split the 63 as evenly as possible among all winners? Cause still all technically 1st places. I'm over here, just starting for the week, lmao. I want to get in on this cheese
  2. DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS GAME IS BETTER THAN KUNG FU
  3. Oh I just said that cause the age I am I was in the 64 era and we had an NES for a bit (was my parents and they gave it away) but never had a SNES and thats when beat em ups were peaking. Not really much after that
  4. Fair enough nevertheless, this is a decrease for me, as I’ve exceeded 170K many many times. This Spartan x 2 I’m not familiar with, but for a guy who never had a SNES I can put up an okay showing
  5. It was a wild ride. I played for a long time today, but the score I got was achieved early in my session. I knew you’d be clamouring for it, and I didn’t have the last bit of time so I was nervous there phewww
  6. Sorry bout the slightly small name in my pics there, it’s in the top left, should be clear enough in one of em. The picture depicts King MBD about to lay the smackdown on anyone who gets close to his score
  7. 169,440 Disappointed with this score. I know I can do much better. I just couldn’t seem to put it all together
  8. The timing of the wands is also a factor, in my opinion a pre-drawbridge wand on Beginner race is optimal as your first one, but an intermediate race one after that might not be that good, since you cant/won’t bank every second after the 30 second add at the start of Aerial. The ultimate draw would be: pre-drawbridge, then right before the hand things at the end of aerial race (gives you time to think/do an easier run across), then Silly race after the +3 second monsters and preferably after the birds to cool the pressure. This seems like wishful thinking but at least in my experience playing these are “lucky spots”
  9. I feel ya. I’m the same with Metal Storm. I’d be the lone “No” in a do you like it poll on here. But I just can’t like it
  10. Haha nice that was a regular movie playing growing up for me so naturally I barely know any of it and can’t pick it out fuck he was a funny motherfucker
  11. Sparse and blunt but check the clock, technically this counts as an edition of skinny’s saturday musings for all you statisticians out there
  12. Yeah thanks I’m gonna smoke that bitch-ass marble right out but the question is does anyone ever bust the black marble on Ultimate Race? There’s no drawbridge sitting ahead to justify that one unless you’re lightning fast at it @NESfiend I don’t get the reference but your wand experience being like “Jojo the idiot circus boy with his pretty new pet” whatever that means made me laugh out loud legitimately
  13. Weird I didn’t think it was that unusual to break 170K, I’ll have no problem doing it again, like I said the difference maker is stupid shit, I’m tightening up a lot of my problem spots where I keep dying like the part right after the green slimies on silly race. Previously I was no-deathing this thing no problem. I also kinda want to learn how to break the black ball on level 2, I reason it’s worth it since even if it takes an extra second that’s the second you have to wait at the drawbridge anyways

  15. Haha well I have had my fun times with this game before and I had a higher score than my 2017 on the now defunct (?) AVS Scoreboard but to get to MBD’s score there are so many extra mechanics to tighten up, I will gladly battle for second though, I might as well just top this and not post it but I’m under your score by like 2,000. Anyway I keep dying in silly parts so that’s “free peanut butter to polish off the spoon” as the youth say
  16. If anybody gets an elusive 3-wand run let us all know, it’ll be interesting to see how much it actually comes up in practice. Only 0-2’s so far for me but I was lucky enough to capture a segmented 3 on emulator with some save states in between the wands for the Overlord to decipher, now that’sssssss some mysterious coding
  17. Marble madness is weird cause as you practice you might just hover around 100K for a bit usually even lower and then all of a sudden bam you’re scoring 165K and up. I’m still trying to get the rust off my wheels over here
  18. Not a chance. I love marble madness. I’m not gonna beat him but I’ll happily nip at his heels
  19. @FireHazard51 I also post from phone (iphone though) and just access the site in browser, then attach from there from photo library - it displays as just a regular picture in the post. Makes NA's picture system look like some dirty ol horse (VGS in this metaphor is a crystal unicorn) This game is hard.
  20. You could pretend you’re playing Marble Madness, which is kind of like an isometric racer. Might ease you up a bit. I get it though, these ones are always competitive and you can’t exactly squeak in with some mediocre score, I like these kind of games kinda but I never fare well for that reason. Still, Super Sprint seems to be easier on the player than RC Pro Am, RC’s programming just feels so so cruel lol. (The bad flip side of this though, is that it’s also easy on everyone else)
  21. Yeah at this point theres way more engaging stuff to play so im with you there. I also felt SS was more engaging than TP, the latter of which took me 2 runs to get all the way through. In both games, it was like the environments were expanded but still not quiiiite enough. It can be hard to commit enough to get through the middle parts in all 3D Zelda games OoT - SS. BOTW same here I dont feel that way, I'm still interested even though I'm on my third file (first was wii U), havent even beat the game yet on any of them, lol! But I've started my third and final run now while keeping my other Switch file intact, gonna get the DLC too, basically I just do this by having 1 file each on two different user profiles on the Switch. (Although I dont know the DLC implications, and thats the reverse reason why I did it.... ended up playing far on the file intended for my wife and taking it over before she had her own Switch. I was worried about not being able to get the DLC since her file on my Switch isnt the acct file so I figured just restart. I like to use my Amiibos in the early part of the game to enrich + amplify the practical value of the loot.) If they make a Skyward Sword port I would get it and prob sell mine with the gold remote to offset it, same though not day 1. But right now I'm moreso ready for New Pokemon Snap, and I might even have a go at Paper Mario Origami King despite the lukewarm reviews.
  22. See I didnt think it was too bad, finicky but not horrible, but I was a bigger fan than most of Skyward Sword at the time, I purposely didnt read other peoples opinions of it while I was playing it cause I could just tell that people wouldnt like it. It has flaws. And just like you I'm all about the BOTW now and I havent played an old non-64 Zelda game since. I'm literally scared to play Skyward Sword again especially just because I dont want the memory tarnished. Anyway if they dont port Skyward Sword (I predict they will, though), theres one way you can overcome the sword fuckery, and thats through insect collecting and potions. One of the best parts about the game and something that sets it apart from the others IMO is that there is quite a few options for making different potions, I dont remember it all exactly but you can imbue your blade, increase defense, im pretty sure theres one where youre invincible for a pretty generous amount of time. All I know is that I beat final boss first try by just pooling a heavy amount of bugs into the best potions. Also even though he is a good swordsman Girahim he's fragile so you dont even need the super goodest potions to gain a big advantage on him.
