Could be the chips, but I think they either work or don't work, not a slow death like you described. Did you check the connections? It you have a multi-meter using connectivity mode, you can confirm that the red/green wires are sending the signal. If you're not getting a connection then you could maybe redo the wires and see if that helps.

I do not have that level of patience. I'd want to see it put together too badly. You know you have to post the pic of it altogether, right?

REAL mouse. The "wheel" is a touchpad between the buttons... Its 90's ergonomic.

@barrels, I like your sig I'm also in front of a computer most of the day. While I can't see myself using this long tern it would be fun for a while. Plus, a nice addition to the collection. I've always liked the "odd" NES hardware, and this would be a nice addition.

You got this @TheBiRD. Four more and you're done. I've been watching the number go down over time. Best of luck! @Jfreakofkorn, you have to throw the IP in there (not sure how long that will work). http://74.86.217.179/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=147088

Can confirm. This is where I got about 90% of the info from. The heat part is tough unless you're doing something small. 8-Bit Guy is in Texas so lots of sun and heat for him to do larger pieces.

Ah ok, when you Retrobrite, there isn't any rubbing/scrubbing. For the cream you apply a layer of it, wrap it in clear plastic wrap and let it sit in the sun (or under UV lights). For the clear, you just mix the solution with water, submerge the plastic, put it in the sun. Ironically the sun is the what makes the plastic yellow, the hydrogen peroxide plus UV light (and heat) is what undoes the yellow. No scrubbing, so if you're thinking about doing it, I think the red will be ok.

I think they used tank paint for that logo. LOL. It didn't affect any of the paint on the Gameboy I did.

I do flat rate shipping on all international orders. I tried doing it by location, but every single time it was always more and I was getting burned at the post office. I can assure you if shipping is any less @Code Monkey, you'll be refunded the difference. Thank you for your order!

For those interested these are the two products that aid in the "Retrobrite" process (always wear gloves and eye protection when using these, they're strong). Lots of videos on YouTube on how to Retrobrite. Some are better than others. For me it was trial and error and I had more success with the clear than the creme.

First, AMAZING results, I'm very impressed. Second, I did the same with the Gameboy I restored, its in the first pic. I did hit the issue you mentioned about "scarring." I think it was also due to not moving the cream around. Anyway, I've switched from the cream to the 40 Solution mixed with water. There is little chance of scarring and you get a nice even application. Again, really nice work!

Thanks! Good advice. I actually have the LM1 and my GC is set up, maybe I pop it in and check it out before getting further into LM3.

I'm only about three hours into but loving it thus far. This is really my first go at LM, is worth firing up the Gamecube and playing the first one?

I suppose I'm wrong, thought I heard that was the case. RCG is still going. I've bought a few stands from them, their other stuff is pricey. What did they do that was smug?

I guess we're letting any one in here! LOL Welcome!
