Sending congratulations to everyone who participated. The TurboGrafx-16 library has reached completion now.
I want to express my gratitude to @Crabmaster2000, who helped greatly with the requirements and completed a whopping 60 games in total. You're a real enthusiast and it shows. Wishing you success in completing other video game libraries!
Shout out to the other participants: @Red, @scaryice, @cj_robot and @Dr. Morbis.
Long live the TurboGrafx-16.

@RetroMichel Would you be ok to add the North American Turbo CD games to this challenge as well? I'm only 6 games short of owning that full library and as soon as I'm done with Turbografx 16 I'll likely start playing through those games as well and I'd be happy to have help from anyone else who wants to join in with that too.
I'd love a spot to talk about those games as I play through them as well as get a list like we are building here of all the win conditions. If you're not up for maintaining the thread beyond just TG16 that's ok though, I can start my own thread. Just thought they'd go nicely together all in one place.
I will create a Turbo CD thread once the TurboGrafx-16 library is completed.
Count on me!

Yes, I will tackle PGA European Tour once I finish my University semester. I will continue the game on December 20th and will finish it before 2024.

I started it but you can take it. I'm moving so slow that it's better to bring on more people and I'll hop to another game, no prob.
Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling - @Nugfish
Carmageddon 64 - @ZeldaFan042
Doom 64 - @ZeldaFreak or perhaps @BlackVega
Ogre Battle 64 - @ZeldaFreak
PGA European Tour - @RetroMichelAny updates on these?
University classes will end on December 20th. I will beat it after the exams are completed.
You can count on me.

@Red I didn't notice that you had completed the game! Sorry about that.

@RetroMichel how is PGA European Tour coming? I never added it to the claim sheet but it's there now.
I had to stop playing video games for a while, since I have lots of exams lately. However, next week, I should get it done!

Update:
I'm still playing PGA European Tour every now and then. I'm like 70% done.
(Remember, I had to start this one again from the very beginning. Ugh.)

Finally finished up with Boxy Boy. Pretty rough game to try and beat. I had roughly 30 hours into the game to get to the end and somewhere around level 80 the puzzles got so long and convoluted that I just started looking up solutions to most of them (unless they were small stages which happened like every 10 or so). Figuring out some of those puzzles on my own would have taken several hours per puzzle from 100 onwards I'm sure. I usually like these kind of games quite a bit, but this was a bit too extreme of a puzzler for my tastes.
Amazing work, good job. When I used to play it, I was too stubborn to look up solutions online and that's why I never finished it. It can be frustrating trying over and over the same levels, when you know you have hundreds more to beat.

That sucks!
Let me know if you want me to pick it up again.
Yes, please do. I guess you have a PAL copy of the game? I really hope this glitch is not also in that version.
I was so far in the game, it really sucks. Next week, I'm on vacation, so I will not be able to play N64 games. I was hoping to beat PGA this week before I go.
EDIT: I’ve changed my mind. I can’t be at peace if I never beat this game, I have such a grudge against it! I will beat it when I get back home, expect it to be done in the first two weeks of September.

I have bad news. PGA European Tour always freezes when I try to continue my game. I saved after hole 1 on Kungsängen in the PGA Tour Championship, on the first round, and everytime I want to start again, it just freezes.
There is so little information on the Web about this game and honestly, I'm so mad right now. I have put around 10 hours in this game and while I like it, it is too long for what it is.
I'll try getting around that glitch, but no luck so far.

I only just finished the qualifying school and unlocked the actual tournament, so if you're further in please take it!
I'll take it! It should be completed this week. I play it whenever I have time.

Started PGA European Tour today, this game is long... Not only do they make you play a lot of full 18 hole rounds of golf, they make you watch the shots of another golfer
Fortunately it's pretty easy and you can save at the start of every hole and reload if needed.
I did not call dibs on this one, but I am actually doing it right now. I'm pretty far in it, so if you want to tackle another game, it's up to you. I will not be angry if you decide to finish it anyway.
I never thought that we'd debate over PGA European Tour, haha.

Snowboard Kids is done. Now, this is a game I have a love-hate relationship with. I love the aesthetics of this game, and the soundtrack is wonderful. It has so much charm, the characters are memorable and it has honestly quite a lot of replay value, since there are so many boards to unlock and tasks to complete. Also, it is a very difficult game to complete, which leads to the part I disliked about it. It doesn't feel hard because it's challenging, but because it's unfair. The game's mechanics, as I've read on Wikipedia, rely on the "rubber banding" phenomenon. Wikipedia says: "Rubber banding may refer to: in video games, the rubber band effect in dynamic game difficulty balancing, where AI characters falling behind may get a boost by the game while those ahead may be hindered." Honestly, I find games like this so frustrating. The most popular that comes to my mind being Mario Kart 64. It feels like that even if you raced perfectly in a level, the AI can kick your butt in the last seconds of a track, meaning that you need to do it all over again. Multiple times. Even if you've played perfectly.
I think the sequel is a better game, it was way more balanced if I recall right. Good game though.

1080° Snowboarding is done. It's a very challenging game, especially on Expert difficulty. I've played the different tracks with Kensuke Kimachi and it went pretty well having practiced in the training mode. I was reluctant to start this game at first, since I've remembered it as the game you're always falling in. That's still accurate to this very day, but I've managed to get better at landings and it went well for the most part. The music is iconic and the graphics are very impressive for 1998, especially the powder snow effects. It's a shame this series ended after Avalanche on the Nintendo Gamecube. We can say it went down the hill from there.
Good game!

Mickey's Speedway USA is done. It is a very underrated game according to me, as I would consider it almost on par with Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing. It's one of the less known games made by Rareware for the N64 and it's truly a shame, as it's one of my favorite titles. The last cup, Frantic Finale, has two of the hardest tracks that gave me trouble on Professional difficulty: Oregon and Colorado. However, it's so satisfying winning these after grinding and trying again multiple times.
BTW, RetroMichel and his N64 are back. I'll tackle some more games!

Thank you so much for the free bump. I could consider the game. Is it in good condition? How much?

Indeed, I was almost done with Boxyboy a year and a half ago, haha. I didn't return to it, but might soon again or later.
You are on a streak, good job!

Beat every Sega Dreamcast game - 0/248
in Site-run Events & Contests
Posted · Edited by RetroMichel
Here is a thread in which we can express our passion for the magnificent Sega Dreamcast console by completing its library. This thread is heavily inspired by Splain's wonderful work on his numerous threads in the Site-run Events & Contests forums. Huge thanks to him for his templates and already written rules, which I edited for the Sega Dreamcast library.
Each game will be worth one point, so the points will be added up as "games completed" in the leaderboard. Feel free to comment as much as you'd like about the games you've completed (or not).
Here are the rules:
Please respect these rules, but more importantly, have fun!
Important: Every PAL or NTSC-J exclusive will count for one point, but will not count towards beating the entire NTSC-U/C game library.
IF YOU NOTICE A TYPO OR A GAME LACKING, PLEASE WRITE BELOW. Thanks !
