I have a question as I’m a little confused about the picture of your score when R=1. Will that be your score that is counted or only in the case of a tiebreaker? For instance if you get to shredder with R=1 and take a pic, then die on him once, then defeat him...So you’d have R=0 as your final pic with the end credits? Does that count or shredded need to be completed with at least R=1 remaining?

Nice! What is this tipping strategy I keep hearing about? Is there a video of it? Had a decent run but couldn’t finish it off. -

Played through Smash TV today. Never played the arcade or a port of any kind but I thought it was quite good. The voice samples, while quite scratchy were actually well done! “Good luck, you’ll need it”, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” -

Nice work guys! Great to see the thread still super active. Hopefully I can finish a few more to add to the list but my gaming time has slowed down significantly since the birth of our son last week. I am happy I was able to contribute 75 completions. A lot of them were first time beats and a few of them were actually very challenging. Congrats to Gaia for taking second place! If you keep up this pace you might have a chance at the title. I always considered it more of a community effort than an individual competition but hopefully you guys duke it out for the win. Keep it up gang! -

This game is actually fun! Thought it was gonna suck or be a bad port. Don’t think I’ll get another chance to play as we have a 5 day old boy taking up all our time! Good luck all! 578,331 -

I was excited that you picked an obscure thrash band for one of your music polls!!! Then realized I was mistaken.

I think like most of us I have a love/hate relationship with Star Force. I did finish it for the first time this year for the "Can VGS beat all the NES games in a year" thread. I'm not sure how far I could go on one life though! What level did you get to with your winning score? Thanks! I just checked and the model is KV32-FS100. I found it ditched on the side of the road a few years ago and a good samaritan helped lug it in my car! I know the 32 is for size but what does the KV, and FS mean? Oh yeah I love the Saturn imports. I'll snap a quick pic. -

I tried to join the star force party last week but noticed I was too late. I went through the Adventure Island trilogy recently so I figured I should give it a go. Score updated to 424,840 -

First time playing through 3D Worldrunner and it took quite a while! I enjoyed the space harrier-esque boss battles and the super long jumps. Surprisingly enjoyable! -

I played through Werewolf! My friend had this game back in the day and we could never get far. It's not too bad once you get going. And it even comes with a comic! -

Nice work Gaia, knocking off some of those undesirable titles and earning those pain points. Glad you could find some enjoyment out of it! On that note Treasure Master is finished. Almost definitely my least favorite game this year. Close call between that and Day Dreamin Davey. Nice work too nesfiend, nerdy and all. I like our chances this year with this group! -

I was just playing Championship Bowling for the first time and I noticed the Hi score is 200. The requirements in this thread are just to complete a game of bowling. Just curious why it isn't to beat the high score of 200? -
I never would have imagined this game was so hard. It never seems to be talked about. It has 4 levels and takes a total of 12-13 minutes to complete before it starts looping so how bad could it be? The first two levels are pretty easy but the AI steps it up bigtime in level 3 and is downright unfair in level 4. The bad guys get incredibly aggressive and your character jumps very slowly so it gets very hard very quick. There is a strategy I came across (I think that came from somebody on Nintendo Age) where you group the bad guys near a wall and wait 15 + minutes for the AI to calm down. But that isn't fun at all and not a legitimate completion. Who has done it legit?

Yeah it was my first time playing through 2 and 3. I didn't find them too diifficult but did find 2 annoying for the same reasons Gaia listed. Played through 1 and 2 one evening and finished 3 the following day. You should definitely play through the whole series, I don't think you'd have much trouble other than the last few levels of the original. How many total games have you completed of the library? Hearing Crabmaster, Bronzeshield and table w/chairs talk about their goal of completing the entire library has inspired me to keep track starting this year. I am up to 110 completions now and plan to dive deeper into the obscure titles and genres. I will definitely hit 400 points but my playing will slow down significantly soon as my wife is 9 and half months pregnant with our first child. Let's keep up the pace gang! -

Played through the 3 Adventure Island games. I think I am in the minority but I have always enjoyed the original the best. The dinosaurs were an interesting addition but felt a little gimmicky. The original is some of the best platforming ever. -

Yes as long as you power up the entire game is a breeze. Low G man done! Actually really enjoyed this one. Taxan released some solid titles. Or maybe my bar is set too low haha. -

I'm not sure why I thought Silver Surfer was so hard, that didn't take long at all. -

First time finishing Blaster Master! What a fantastic game. I made it to the last boss about ten years ago so very happy to knock this one off the list.
