Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the week that will decide the most Arcade player in VGS in 2023! It is time to let the engines hoar and see our worthy players tackle Spy Hunter! The rules are simple: Play till your first death after the initial timer expires. Deaths while the timer is counting are allowed and don't end your run. Pause the game as soon as you die the first time after the initial time expires and take your picture. Highest score wins GENRE: Arcade For this week, @Gloves, @Bearcat-Doug, @PII, @Richardhead, @Red, @Dr. Morbis and @mbd39 has a shoot on the title. It is the genre title with the fiercest competition! May the most arcade one win! The contest ends Sunday, 09/17/23 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. I considered it, but that would be half of the game so I decided to go for just the 3 last stages to make it tough, but also quick to get a run in and repeat to fix small mistakes. It will be a close week of competition.

Ain't no one of us has the time or the hands to do a full Rad Racer run these days.

You really, REALLY think y'all will start at the first stage at Rad Race? REALLY?

I remember stage 3 boss being the doom of many runs last time we played this. He is SUPER annoying.

Play till the ship goes boom. And I will consider the scores posted so far valid. I didn't make a participation requirement to get to a certain stage this time.

2 levels more, to be precise. Some 10 minutes more in the run at worst.

Rules amended. You can play till stage 15 now.

We can change the rules to allow one to go till stage 15 instead of 3. I remember that 14 and 4 up the difficulty a fair bit.

They are indeed. That is why for 2024 I will only be picking shooters with passwords to start at a later stage for the contest. It will be SO DAMN FUN!
