  1. In hindsight, this could have benefitted from highest score at the end of stage 3, but it is a fun game so I thought it would be good to allow a full run. I won't make this mistake with Legendary Wings.

  3. Welcome abord, fellow aviators. You have quite the mission for this week! You will have to prove your skills and your mettle at 1943! The rules are as follow: Play until Game Over Take your picture on the Game Over screen If you have to re-start a level or boss because you did not destroy enough enemies, that counts as a Game Over. At this point, you must stop playing and take your picture. Anyone suspected of playing more of the game in the event you have to re-start a level or boss will have their score disqualified. Highest score wins GENRE: Shooter/Shoot ‘Em Up The contest ends Sunday, 05/28/23 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun.
  4. Geral and genre scoreboards updated. Gloves finished this first round with a sizeable lead over Dr Morbis and PII. They will have to put in the work to close the gap in this next round.

  6. Toot! Toot! Lads and ladies, we are BACK! It is time for some arcade action. This week we tackle a classic with everyone's favourite sailor, brawler and spinach eater, POPEYE! The rules are as follow: Play on 1 PLAYER GAME B Play ONE loop LATE PICTURE RECOMMENDATION : It is better to take your screenshot just before the game over screen (press on pause in any cases). If you happen to beat the third stage, pause the game as soon as possible to take your pic. Your score will still count whatever the form of your pic as this came up way too late during the week. Anyone suspected of playing more than one loop or play any bit of the first stage of the 2nd loop will have their score disqualified. Highest score wins I yam what I yam an' tha's all I yam The contest ends Sunday, 05/21/23 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. 7. I will give you a 0 score, so you will get the participation point.
  8. It is sort of the plan. Use the first 3 stages for that, one life so it isn't too time consuming.
  9. Sadly, there is no stage selection cheat for it or we could do no death Jacquio runs. I will likely bring in something akin to the Super Mario Bros rules for it this time around.
  10. Current standings posted. Next week is break week and I will use it to figure good, fun, fast rules for the second round of games.
  11. At the end of the day, I need to go full Battletoads for this one when it shows up again next time and have a set of rules that will make it interesting to play. High score is boring and low score is even more boring.
  12. Your username was misspelled in the Super Mario Bros scoreboard. Fixed it.

  14. Ladies and gentlemen, this week of SPORTS we go FULL CANADIAN! It is time for Ice Hockey! Here are the rules for our players to go sporting hard!!! 1 player only Choose Canada as your team USA and as the CPU team Play on Speed 1, Time 7 Choose whichever size players you want Play a whole game and at the end, take a picture of the score Your score will be the differential between your score and the computer’s score In the event of a tie, whoever has scored more goals breaks the tie (ex. Two people tie with 5. One person has scored 10 goals, while the other one has scored 15 goals. The 15 goal scorer takes precedence). Greatest differential between goals for (goals you scored) and goals against (goals you allowed) wins. A positive score takes preference over a negative score (ex. A differential of 10 takes precedence over a score of -20. Purposely losing to the computer by 20 goals does not give you a better differential than a person who beats the computer by 10 goals. Positive scores take precedence over negative scores regardless of differential). Ex: Canada 10 USA 5 = score of 5 Ex: Canada 5 USA 10 = score of -5 Participation: Play an entire game GENRE: Sports The contest ends Sunday, 05/07/23 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. 15. Final standings posted. This was quite the uphill battle at the top, with 4 scores over 2 million points. Impressive!
  16. This is most impressive! And remember people, this' a give away. Jimbo posted the rules for it earlier in the thread!
  17. Tons of patience to manipulate enemies so they kill themselves or despawn. It is a BORE!
