  2. Welcome ladies and gentlemen. It is time for GRADIUS! And Gradius 2 at that. Prepare your ships, pick your power up path, board your Vic Viper and go blow stuff up! The rules are very simple for this one: Play till you lose your first life (like anyone would try to keep playing after dying and getting back without any power ups) Pause the game and take your picture after losing your first life. If you beat the game, start the game again and take your picture. Your score will be in the high score field Participation: 31,000 points Highest score wins Genre: Shoot em up. The contest ends Sunday, 08/29/21 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun.
  3. I am migrating two servers today, so that will only show up later in the night.
  4. Geral and genre scoreboards updated. As for the point system, we have been using this point distribution for a long time and I am okay with revising it for next year. Once this season ends, we can discuss this. As for Famicom games in the tournament... I am running this thing. There WILL be Famicom picks here and there in a way or another for the tournament and y'all can't stop me. I grew up with a lot of them Famicom games in the multi carts there were prevalent in South America back then.
  5. Final standings posted. Congratulations for @mbd39 for securing the win this week.

  15. I am not sure I have it in me to manage to get a sub 20K run in Double Dragon. Double Dragon 2 was a fun challenge back in the day and I still managed to lower that score on the youtube video. But Double Dragon 1 is a different beast. They had no fucking idea how to program it when they did it.
  16. Meanwhile, new rules Battletoads was widely acclaimed. That was one fun week.
