So, here's the rules our mighty amphibians of skirmish have to follow this week: Start at Ragnarok's Canyon Play till you reach 500,000 points, you get down to the last point of your energy bar or lose a life. You can get hit as long as you still have more than one point in your energy bar. You can get hit as long as you don't lose a square of your energy bar. That is different than dying. The death rule covers the fact that there are things that will kill you right away, so losing a life ends your run as well. Game is too easy as it is, so I had to figure out a way to make it slightly harder for the contest.

Nah, it is a poor score. This Saturday I will stream some runs to try to get an actual decent score to submit for a world record. Anything under 400K will be just trash.

OK, this is more like it. If I weren't so bad at this, breaking 400K would be a breeze, but I am terrible at catching the fish so I only focus on the flags to add to my score. I should focus on being less bad at this. O

A decade without playing, playing on an emulator and a keyboard surely hinders your skill with a particular game indeed. This is a pathetic score for stage 35. Didn't focus on flags and fish enough on the early stages. Comes with not playing the game in almost a decade. I will likely stream some runs this weekend. This game is very relaxing.

Congratulations for @PII for also breaking the easy 300K points threshold and securing 2nd place. In third place we have @bertsampson with a very lazy 259K points score.

Stage skipping is considered cheating in a further progress game unless the rules state otherwise (aka the new Battletoads rules).

The map pictures won't be needed. I will only refer to lap 01 and lap 02 times for tiebreak. As long as I can see the lap times for lap 1 and 2 in your picture if you didn't finish the game, it is all good. Post the stage and the picture and I will do the rest of the dirty work.

No idea. But there is no way a paltry 380K score should be a world record.

Mayhaps I need to get an upscaler, set up my Phantom System with my capture card and do some live streams playing this to get live footage to submit for a certified world record.

Current standings posted. I am effing disappointed. The 1st place so far has around 100k points less than my PB in this game and I fucking SUCK at video games. No one even crossed the 300K threshold! The hell you all doing?

Once you advance enough, the game may even give you not enough seconds to finish the stage, killing your run right there. I was going for 400K+, but then the game gave me 45 seconds to beat a large stage and I died mid way with only 380K+ points.

Where are the REAL scores at? Not a single over 300K score so far. Shameful!
