Hallowed ground, that underground mall in Taipei, for sure, lol! Awesome! Yeah, that mall is a treat for game fans. Probably had the best banana waffles at this cosplay cafe (had never heard of this concept before) there called Chitty Mood, where the goal of the waiter was to turn everyone's frown upside down. Great experience.

OptOut | 8,883
Just one new arrival recently, but a nice one: Love the sparkles!ย I've recently refocused my efforts back onto my Japanese N64 set for now, as I am only 40 games away from that, so the Dreamcast collecting is on the back burner. However, I anticipate I will be able to finish the N64 set next year, so I'll probably put more effort into the DC as that winds down!ย 4

So hearing that does not surprise me as much as the fact I wish I paid more attention to that system.

That price sticker may not necessarily be the original retail price sticker. It may well have been a pre-ownedย price sticker, with an inflated price relative to the increased demand from the upcoming collectors..? I would have thought most Japanese games would be cheaper than the US counterparts when sold via original retail outlets.

I have TONS of games bought directly from the shelves of dusty old gamestores here in Taiwan, with these sorts of stickers on them. They've been sitting there untouched and unloved for literally 20 years and not an "upcoming collector" in sight! Anyway, you see that Pikachu sticker on the front there? That is from the Taiwanese import company that dealt with Nintendo products at the time. They primarily imported Japanese games at premium prices, which is probably WHY I can currently buy all this new old stock... It was simply too expensive for the vast majority of locals to afford back in the day. 2

OptOut | 8,883
Couple interesting new additions, thanks to a little trade with @dyer! Sealed Bangai O is a pretty decent score, and I didn't have Sega Rally yet, so it's nice to have that in good condition there too! More interesting, tho, is the Eternal Arcadia: This is the @barai version which is a little odd. It's kind of like a timed demo, but you can unlock the full version of the game by connecting to a server. So, you would have bought this game for a cheap price, then if you liked it you could pay more to unlock the whole thing. I think several titles were planed for this service, but only this and Hundred Swords were actually released I think. This game is pretty cool also, Kiteretsu Boy's Gangagan, comes with a microphone, neat! And, although not sealed, got a sample game here too, Climax Landers: You can see in the inner ring there it says SAMPLE printed on there: So, that's 4 sealed games for the list, plus a sample, not bad!ย One final thing I got recently was a NIB controller from a local store: The price was just regular, like 30 bucks, not exactly a steal, but I wasn't about to complain cause it's super clean and brand new! So there we go, I wonder what 2021 will bring for the DC set?!
GPX | 1,369
Is Eternal Arcadia the same as Skies of Arcadia for Pal? And doย the Japanese controllers work on the Pal consoles?ย Some nice finds and interesting tidbits in the above!

One of the few RPGs I really like, I played through the GameCube version back in the day! As for the controller, pretty sure it should work on whatever system, yeah!

OptOut | 8,883
Little mini update! Had to go to the gamestore to get a replacement Joycon for my Switch (SL and SR buttons broke). While I was there picked up a pack-in light gun and House of the Dead 2 set: The gun is way fresher than my other one, and it's a nice little set for a great game! Also, picked up another obscure accessory, some kinda fishing thing! I mean... It was cheap, I dunno what else to tell ya!ย 4
Awoken | 275
Very cool collection! Personally i skipped the dreamcast as a system, i had that booze and going out age then haha. Got into console gaming because of the Megadrive/genesis. Also really like the way your gameroom looks from what i can tell.

Got four games for your amusement today: I was fortunate to find Marvel Vs. Capcom... Not the best condition, unfortunately, but it wasn't too pricey so can't complain. Best pick-up was definitely the NIB Samba De Amigo set tho!
