OptOut | 8,900
I haven't been buying much recently, been busy. But I did pick up a couple nice mid-sized boxed games recently: It's amazing how many dating Sims are on this system, Sheesh! I'm gonna start getting strange looks from people visiting my game room! 4
OptOut | 8,900
Just a little handful of games today! I was doing a favour for someone buying them some things online, and I figured why not put a couple cheap Sealed DC games into the cart?! It was a good thing I did too, because the seller also chucked in another sealed game for FREE!!! Some sort of free trial version or something, says not for sale: The dude gave it to me for free, so for once the "Not for sale" rule was actually applied, and so neither myself nor the seller should be receiving any kind of criminal repercussions! 4 1

Just realized this one doesn’t have a spine card. Is it because it’s a NFR version? The art work on this game is freakin awesome!
spacepup | 2,435 Administrator ·
It is a Trial Edition / NFR release. Most of those did not have spinecards. Some of them didn't even really have much artwork or manuals and were released as pretty much disc only. I've come across several Japan NFR discs that were sealed with just a disc in a clear case. 2

OptOut | 8,900
Another day another random DC big box game with questionably-aged anime girls on the cover... This one comes with a bunch of stuff, like little mini figs, some stickers, a soundtrack CD and even like some make-up I think? Blusher? And, most worryingly of all, a filthy pillow: All I can say is I'm glad this IS sealed, but either way, gross. 3

And I want one!
OptOut | 8,900
Picked out a couple mid-priced titles with a few familiar faces! I recently beat Rayman 2 on the 64, so I figured I'd get this, and Mister Driller is always fun! I really like the cover for Sonic Shuffle too, and that makes my second sealed Sonic title so I'm happy about that! Also picked up a cheap arcade stick: It's got a nice weight to it, nice clicky micro switch stick too. Not SO convinced by the "ergonomic" design, but it certainly fits the time period! That stuff was all the rage back in the late 90's early 00's, as of course, was sticking 2000 on the end of everything, like the "DC2000" on the package there! OptOut | 8,900
We are getting SERIOUS now fellas! I am doubling down on the Dreamcast journey, making a BIG PUSH to make it to 100 SEALED games! Been buying online, and also scraping the last few scraps from my local game stores this week: Some REAL nice games here, some of these are just in unbelievable condition. I think the two stand outs from this pick up are the King of Fighters games: These are fairly desirable titles, fighting games are BIG on Dreamcast, and I also think they look fantastic too! This is an unusual game, Real Sound Regret: It's a game designed to be played by audio cues alone, and so accessible to blind people. It also has this weird plastic sleeve with clouds on it that puts clouds on every side of the game case: If you don't know what you're looking at it just looks like the game is super dirty, and obviously as this is sealed I can't remove the sleeve to compare what it looks like without it, but it's a cool touch nonetheless. I also like the boxart for this game too: Honestly this is just such a nice, clean looking cover, it's obviously a real photo of a kid playing with toys, and it just looks fab. I encountered a degree of disappointment with the following game, however: Although I really like the game, I have a real soft spot for Puyo Puyo, when I received it I saw that the top folds of the wrap were not stuck down like they should be. This wasn't apparent from the listing... There was no tearing or any other indication that the game HAD been opened, so I was unsure whether or not the seal had just come loose over time. I decided to slide the game out of the wrap to inspect it, because if it WAS indeed used I would have returned it to the seller as it was specifically sold to me as brand new sealed. Inspecting the disc and the rest of the contents, I was able to determine that the game was in fact new and unused. So, I slid the game carefully back into the wrap and decided to keep it. Although this is no longer technically a sealed game, given the circumstances I will still count it as a part of my sealed collection. Finally, we have the oddball accessory I usually pick up when I see them: Controller extension cord? Why not huh?! So there we go, steaming towards 100! I have another handful of games in the mail, which I will be posting here when they arrive. A couple games in particular I am REALLY looking forward to... I don't think that the ones I have ordered will bring us QUITE to the magic number, but I am sure it won't be long now! 2 1

OptOut | 8,900
Okay the rest I had on order are in! Some FANTASTIC games here, I am super excited! This copy of Battle Beaster is a beauty: Amazing condition copy of Street Fighter III Third Strike: This Advanced warfare game is REAL tough to find sealed, I'm loving it! And finally my FAVOURITE game of this bunch, Elemental Gimmick Gear! I've wanted a copy ever since I saw the game shown on an episode of Game Sack, it looks fantastic: So there we are... 2 more till I hit 100! I wonder what they will be?

GPX | 1,376
I just realized the Jap-ntsc covers have different art work compared with the Pal counterparts. Pretty much for all the titles! The Japanese ones have much finer details in the artwork. Keep up the good work mate!
OptOut | 8,900
Well, we made it! Nothing PARTICULARLY special for the big ONE-OH-OH, unfortunately, although I'm happy with these: However, it's a milestone nonetheless, and I have actually got something VERY nice on the way from Japan that might prove a little more interesting when it arrives! 2
spacepup | 2,435 Administrator ·
Wow, congrats on getting to 100! Definitely a cool achievement! When you get all of them, I fully expect a huge project where you open every single one, play them, and rate like Reed is doing for SNES! haha 1

OptOut | 8,900
Recently put an order in for some Japanese N64 games to finish my set, and figured I'd chuck this on the pile: Feels great to have both Sonic Adventure games sealed! Also, this was part of a special birthday gift set for Sonic's 10th anniversary: There's a CD of like 10 years of sonic songs from all the different games, plus a coin (not legal tender) and a book of some kind. Overall, definitely a nice set and a great addition to the collection! Additionally, you guys will be pleased to hear I finally have a way to actually PLAY all my lovely sealed games WITHOUT actually opening them! Picked up a GDEMU modded Dreamcast local for a decent price. Feels great to actually be able to play these things finally, lol! 3
GPX | 1,376
I never got into Sonic Adventure, but loved the 2D platformers. Great Sonic collectible get! As an arcade fighting fan, the Dreamcast was like a dream machine back then. Kinda sad to think such a fine console dying out the way it did. That screenshot right there nearly made me shed a tear of nostalgia.

The clone boards are super cheap, and you'll never have to worry about the shoddy Dreamcast laser crapping out ever again!

I have an actual console but mainly for collecting purposes. Hoping to buy a new house soon and can then aim to have a proper gaming room setup.
OptOut | 8,900
Been a while since I bought any new DC stuff, I've shifted my collecting focus to Japanese Mega Drive ATM. However, it's my birthday today, so I figured I'd get something I really wanted, had my eye on for a while! Vigilante 8: 2nd Battle (aka 2nd Offense)! I don't have any experience with the DC version, although the two N64 Vigilante 8 games are two of my favourite N64 games, so I REALLY wanted to add this to my sealed DC collection! 1
