Estil 1,143 Member ·
I wish someone would homebrew Chip's Challenge to the NES or SNES. Would the SNES be enough to make it look just like the Windows version?

Would the SNES be enough to make it look just like the Windows version? It was developed for the NES, but canceled. The prototype was released a few years ago. Edit: @arch_8ngel beat me to the response. There is a ROM hack that fixes a couple of things as well. https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3383/ Edited February 18, 2020 by Deadeye

Quitters. Anyway, thanks so much guys for telling me about this! I just downloaded it and added it to my Everdrive! BTW, did you guys know among other things, there's a Sudoku, Snakes (the classic QBasic game), and even a Cracker Barrel peg-game homebrews for the NES? Tulpa 2,995 Member ·
Whew! I think I got most if not all of them. Some the NES version might have been released concurrently with the computer version; couldn't find any verifiable data. I know Zanac had the FDS and MSX versions released at the same time. edit: Missed Battle Chess for some reason. Tulpa 2,995 Member ·
Good call on Bad Street Brawler. I didn't look at Pal games, but Kick Off is also a computer port.
mbd39 1,769 Member ·
Weird that One on One was never ported to NES when it was on everything else. I had to check because I thought that it was probably on the NES. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_on_One:_Dr._J_vs._Larry_Bird
Tulpa 2,995 Member ·
The sequel, Jordan vs Bird was, but I can't tell if the NES or computer versions came first, so I listed it as concurrent.

Tulpa 2,995 Member ·
Okay, did I get them all, or is Super Mario Bros 3 secretly a port of Fartsy the Squirrel released on the Vic-20 in 1981?

Tulpa 2,995 Member ·
Well, for completeness, and because I'm bored... The Adventures of Captain Comic Bee 52 (may have had concurrent releases) Big Nose the Caveman (may have had concurrent releases) Dizzy the Adventurer (as Dizzy, Prince of the Yolkfolk; may have had concurrent releases) Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy (as Fantastic Dizzy; may have had concurrent releases) Firehawk (may have had concurrent releases) Mig-29: Soviet Fighter Quattro Adventure (may have had concurrent releases, Super Robin Hood and Treasure Island Dizzy were on computers before the NES version) Quattro Arcade (may have had concurrent releases) Quattro Sports (may have had concurrent releases) Tetris: The Soviet Mind Game Didn't look too deeply into the Sachen games, as info tends to be scarce or incomplete for some. Though there was a port of Minesweeper for the NES thanks to them. Edited February 18, 2020 by Tulpa
