ABBA fan club topic -- As Joe Diffie would say, they got cute chicks that make them bigger than the Beatles! :D

(Thought I'd bring this back from the old Nintendo Age forum; hope the rest of you don't mind 🙂 )

So you know how Ikari Warriors on the NES is famous for its ABBA code (with the AVGN happens to mention)?  Well did you guys know there was a 70s band/group from Sweden called ABBA?  Kinda makes me wonder if the people who put in that code in Ikari Warriors were in fact ABBA fans hee hee  You know how in the 60s there was the British Invasion?  Well ABBA in the 70s single handedly (well eight handedly I suppose) had the Swedish invasion!

The time gives you a sampling of many of their most well known songs plus I picked out a live concert one that I especially want to point out Summer Night City and Does Your Mother Know/Hole in Your Soul...plus I added a few more hidden gems 🙂

Again, not one of their most well known songs but the first and last of these three is quite addicting!

So for those of you who are curious or perhaps never heard of them, I say why not...

Well, I know there were Blondie fans that developed Ken Griffey Jr on SNES.   One of the teams had the band members since they could only use Griffey's real name (maybe even the Mariners, but I don't recall offhand).

Wow that's some great trivia. Thanks for sharing. I really like Blondie and never knew that.

It was the Mets.  Strangely enough, I noticed Jimmy Destri's name first and then paid attention next time they batted around and noticed the other three.
