To whom it may concern I'm wanting to sell everything I have in my entire collection. I have a bunch of factory sealed video games and a few CIB video games that are for sale at this point in time. And understand that I am not just going to sell you the best stuff in my collection and be stuck with a bunch of stuff that is not worth it this is why I have a price next to each game in my entire collection for sale. And I truly don't care what pricecharting website says it's worth because I can show you prime examples of pricecharting.com, manipulating the values of video games being sold on there website. And I can show you examples of links listed on pricecharting website were the games have never sold for the price the website is tracking it at. Because I don't know if anyone is aware of this and if you call eBay customer service they will tell you that they have never given pricecharting permission to track any sales data for video games being sold on eBay at all. As a matter of fact anything listed on eBay as a fixed price and you submit a offer and I accept that offer it's going to reflect back to eBay as being sold at the original price not the accepted offer price. So that being said it's safe to say that alot of video games in your collection are not even the correct price I promise you that. So knowing this information will help you to determine the value of your collection, and Furthermore if you value your items yourself is often times better anyways! How does a customer service drone know what their company has allowed another company to do? The sales data is public information anyway.

If the true selling price is lower, via accepted offers, than what vgpc says, how does that justify the presumably higher prices you are offering? I don't want to argue, I simply don't understand this logic.

Are his prices ebay priced?  Lol that was one hell of a rant to justify higher than pricecharting prices.  I mean if this was my first day sure advice against taking pricecharting prices as monolithic is fair but the argumentation presented is not really sound and in the intro paragraph to your FS thread is hardly an attractive place.  At the end of the day condition is king if you’re trying to squeeze every penny out of your sales.  Also there are no eBay fees here so…

1. I would love to know how Price Charting is manipulating sale prices. I know JJ and have spoken to him many times.
2. Why would you phone eBay to ask if they gave permission? They have an open and free API allowing anyone in the world to pull sales data and do whatever they want with it (within their terms and conditions). eBay has no idea whom is doing what.
3. Yes, you are correct that best offer pricing is reported at the full item value. I spent a month trying to make this work otherwise but they removed the functionality from their API so that will skew some of the sales data.
4. If you notice something that's not priced correctly on that website, there is a REPORT button next to every single sale listing. It's all automated so JJ would very much appreciate you reporting something that was incorrect. I let him know a few years back that he had the Indiana Jones games on NES swapped and he thanked me for pointing it out.
5. I actually thought you undervalued the Atari 2600 games.
