final fight cd | 198
i've been looking online for a winning condition for zoop. segaretro states both game play modes - continual and level - are endless. some other site said the game has 100 levels. but you only have one life. is this game beatable? based on what i've read i would say no. even if the credits roll after 100 levels, the 1 life given would still make it extremely difficult and essentially unbeatable unless a mad man with the patience of an 80s kid had hundreds of hours to give took the challenge. curious if anybody else has any opinions or insights. On Sega-16, I think we capped it at beating Level 9. I don't think anything of significance happens after that point, and the game certainly doesn't have an ending. Someone there was advocating for beating Level 99 as the win condition, but I'm not sure that the difficulty even increases after level 9, so it'd just be 90 more levels of the exact same thing.

Curious about this, I looked into the password system. Apparently the game will give passwords up until $80,000 and then won't give passwords anymore. When you reach the $80,000 cap, it just gives you the same password over and over again, so that's a fine place to call it beaten.
final fight cd | 198
Batman forever Am I in the minority believing this is a good game? Can be frustrating at times, can be cheap at times, and you best set aside about 90min to casual play through it.
final fight cd | 198
zero tolerance ya know, i find these primitive, shitty-ass FPS games to be charming. but the game is like 40 levels long so it kinda wore itself out. but i kinda dig it.
final fight cd | 198
Zool Bad game. Not no escape bad, but bad. It’s a platformer where your character is always in the center of the screen, so you never know what the heck is below you.
Tyree_Cooper | 795
I like Zool, good time beating it on the Master System, I still remember, in 2010.

I did like the fact you had to collect a number of items per level to move on. Made it feel like collecting the “coins” had purpose. i didn’t know it was in the MS. Will have to check out game play of it.
Tyree_Cooper | 795
I admit it's not a masterpiece, and you are right, you have no idea what awaits you next (not just below but in all directions!), but we were slightly drunk and it was the last game we finished that night, so we weren't too picky. I liked both the GG and MS versions of the game, but have not played the MD version.
Tantalus | 470
Top Gear 2. Strangely, this game only has the option of sound effects or music during races, but not both. For that reason alone, I prefer the SNES version, even though I think the Genesis version has a better sense of speed.
cj_robot | 557
Beat Bonanza Brothers. First time playing this one, despite owning it in various forms over the years. It's actually quite cute and fun. It's also pretty short and easy, although trying to 1CC might make it a little more challenging. Also, 2-player mode seems like it might be fun and add some replay value. Might try that with my daughter sometime.
cj_robot | 557
Beat Ka-Ge-Ki. I thought I posted this a while ago, but I guess I never did and couldn't find a pic, so I beat it again today. Game is pretty easy, but a real waste of 20 minutes.
cj_robot | 557
Beat Hard Drivin' All you need to do is finish one lap around the track and beat the required time (which is pretty easy), and then win a race against the "Phantom Photon" around the Stunt Track without crashing. And that's all there is to do in this game

Completing the first lap is pretty easy. The next part, which is beating the computer opponent, is not really difficult... just frustrating because the terrible controls and framerate make it tough to stay on the track. If you crash or go off road for more than 10 seconds you automatically lose the race, but manage to avoid crashing and the opponent is not tough to beat at all. Overall, I'd say it's fairly easy, especially since it only takes about a minute and a half to finish the race.
Red | 443 Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM I finally got around to watching the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. I didn't really like it, but it made me want to play a Sonic game. Sonic Spinball is done.
LHCGreg | 126 Posted yesterday at 02:57 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:57 AM X-Men 2 - Clone Wars is done. This game is not nearly as good as I was led to believe. You have to advance slowly or you'll take hits. There are only a couple enemy types per level and the enemy design doesn't really complement the level design. It's got that 90s western-developed jank to it.
